Logan:
I wake up and realize it's eight in the morning. Well, my inner clock is a blessing . . . and sometimes a curse. Like today, because it's Sunday. Of course Kendall is still sleeping. I get up quietly, grab my phone and go over to the living room. No one is here, not even Mrs. Knight. I lie down on the couch and enjoy the silence around me. Then my phone tells me that I have received a text:
Hey Logie, would you like to come over later? My dad is out until evening.
I have to smile. Camille knows I'm an early bird.
Sure, of course. I'll come over after lunch.
As planned, after lunch I get ready to meet Camille - which of course doesn't go unnoticed by the others . . .
"Hey, Logan, what are you doing?" James asks.
"I'm going to Camille's. Her father isn't home."
Kendall and James grin.
"So you two will be all alone?"
I turn to Mrs. Knight. She looks a little worried.
"Yes, I think so. Why?"
She hesitates and looks like she wants to say something, but then she shakes her head and starts clearing the dishes. Confused, I turn back to Kendall and James, who are still grinning at me for some reason. I decide to go. "See you guys later."
"Yeah, see you, buddy. Have fun." Kendall gives me a strange look. The whole thing is too much for me and I quickly leave the apartment.
I stand in front of Camille's apartment and knock. A second later the door opens. Camille beams at me. "Hey, there you are."
I grin. "That was quick."
She shrugs. "Yeah, I was just standing right behind the door. But don't think I've been standing here waiting for you for over ten minutes . . ."
"Never," I answer with a laugh and go inside. Before I sit on the couch, I scan the apartment with my eyes. "And you're absolutely sure that your dad won't be back until tonight?"
"Yes."
I nod in relief and fall onto the couch. Camille sits down next to me.
"I'm glad I'm here. The guys were really strange. Even Mrs. Knight."
"Why?" Camille looks at me curiously. I shrug. "I'd like to know that too. I told them I'd see you and then suddenly Kendall and James started grinning stupidly and Mrs. Knight looked worried."
Camille is silent for a moment, thinking about my words. Meanwhile, I pull her close and put my arms around her.
'I could do this all day.'
Finally, Camille shrugs and says, "I don't know why they behaved like that. But that's not important right now."
"Then what else is important?" I ask her, even though I'm sure I already know the answer. She leans over to me and whispers, "We're alone."
I kiss her and she kisses back. After a short while my kiss becomes more demanding, but she doesn't seem to mind. I pull her onto my lap, remove my lips from hers and start kissing her neck. I can feel her shudder and hide a smile. She starts to gently scratch the back of my neck – which makes me shudder now. My hands crawl along her sides. She flinches more than once, squirming slightly in my arms. I know exactly why. It's Camille's biggest secret. There are only three people here in LA who know about it. Her father, Jo, and me. But unlike the other two, I'm the only one who takes advantage of it - well, from time to time. She holds my hands tightly and gives me a look that clearly says, 'Don't even think about it!'
I smile apologetically and kiss her again. She slowly lets go of my hands. This time I don't tease her and put them on her hips. But just before I can reach the hem of her top, Camille pulls away from me. I look at her questioningly. "Everything okay?"
She nods with a smile and stands up. I'm confused until she takes my hand and whispers, "Come with me."
"Okay," I mouth and follow her down the hall. I know exactly what she's planning as she leads me into her room.
And I don't mind at all.
