Chapter 1

Sun Ho stared at the pair lying amidst the massacred bodies. As soon as he felt his last breath leave his lungs, along with his consciousness he had appeared beside his body. He had closed his eyes knowing that was his last breath but who knew he would only end up standing next to his body. Believing, his work here was done, he was on his way to meet Seo Yeon and maybe finally enjoy the memories of his last peaceful days as he wandered into Underworld.

But the last thing he expected was a rain of arrows falling on to Seo Hwi's back, not one touched his body. Was it because Seo Hwi sheltered him? Why isn't he screaming? Why won't he fight back? Sun Ho yelled at Seo Hwi, to wake up and fight back. What was Hwi thinking?

Sun Ho could only watch as light leave Seo Hwi's eyes that were still staring at his human face. Hwi-ya yelled Sun Ho but unlike him, there was a strong beam of rays next to Seo Hwi's body and besides him stood a hooded finger with its head bowed in respect. It was at this moment that Sun Ho noticed there was also a hooded figure by his side, waiting for him to accept his death and say goodbye. How could he say goodbye? He had expected Seo Hwi to grow old with Han Jui, instead, he sees Hwi follow right after him.

"Gentleman, let's go,' a deep voice from the hooded figure by his side.

'I can't leave him alone, I don't think I can leave him at all' whispered Sun Ho, he was dead but why did he feel his heartbreak at the pitiful sight of their dead bodies.

'Seo Hwi, Hwi-ya..'

'He can't hear you anymore, he has decided to follow Grim reaper to the Underworld. You should move on now, the longer you stay the more you will suffer in your next life.'

'Will I...see him again?' Sun Ho turned to the Grim Reaper.

'If it is written in your fate.'

Sun Ho stared at the departing hooded figure with the beam of light from Hwi's body. Can he not see me? or does he not care about anyone?

'Do you wish to remain? If so I shall come to collect you in 3 days,' the Grim Reaper ordered curtly.

'No, I...I have to go right after him. So, we can be born again together maybe as real brothers this time.'

'Do you really wish that?' the grim reaper stared at the men lying in each other's arms, this sight was quite familiar to him but it was the first time he had seen sworn brothers like this pair. His task was to bring the souls to the river, not to have discussions.

'Ahem... if you have decided, let's get a move on,' urged on the grim reaper.

'We will meet again,' whispered Sun Ho before he followed the grim reaper without a seconds delay. He was determined to meet Seo Hwi in his next life, and most of all he will make sure Seo Hwi lived happy life no matter what.
