Chapter 7

'Ji Woo...'

'Seo Hwi, is the name you chose? Ji Woo...please don't leave like this,' cried Min Joon.

' I am sorry brother, Seo Hwi is my gift to you for always protecting me. How can there be a Sun Ho without Seo Hwi. Just like in those books you read to me, at night when I first came from the orphanage. One...last favor brother look after them both please.' and with that Ji Woo closed her eyes forever leaving behind three adults whose hearts were broken irreparably.

Ji Woo had been the reason they all me; the silent, humble, calm and sweet Ji Woo, she had been their rock, safe haven and home. Now she was gone.

'No, no, no, honey,' cried Ha Joon.

Min Joon wiped his tears and picked up Seo Hwi from his mother's arms that were still warm. And placed both the babies together in a cot.

'Wipe the tears Ha Joon, you are hurting my sister. Let her leave peacefully,' Min Joon touched Ha Joon's shoulder as Eun Ae hugged him.

'I can't, she is all I had...' Ha Joon whispered.

'I am sorry, oppa. Ji Woo don't worry we will take care of them both, we will see you soon,' smiled Ji Woo even though tears slid down her face she could only smile to give her friend strength as she believed Ji Woo was still with them.

'Thank you for your hard work, mother. Would you like to take a moment? We allow mother's to stay by a new born baby's side for 49 days,' asked the Grim Reaper to Ji Woo who was looking at the people around her body.

'Its the mother, how is this possible? Hwi was supposed to have a good life. Something has gone wrong.' muttered the sisters in background.

'Shush,' ordered the Grim Reaper to the sisters.

Ji Woo smiled as she faced the great beings who had been watching everything unfold, she bowed them in respect. 'Please look after my son, I know you are here for a reason but try to not trouble him too much.'

'She can see us?' The old man stood up in shock.

'She noticed us since a while ago, a human is able to see across the veil when they are about to die,' replied the Grim Reaper.

'Go on mother, your child's protector is already laying by his side.' the old lady stood up as she walked towards the babies and blessed them.

The sisters continued to mutter aggressively now, ' Memory Keeper is breaking the rules, she shouldn't get involved with humans directly. You are affecting their destiny.'

'Oh shush you three, blah blah blah this and that. Can you for once live in the moment! And you Ji Woo, human, you can go on. They will be safe, you have my word on it.'

Ji Woo bowed once more before following the Grim Reaper.

'You shall be punished for this, Memory Keeper!' the sisters hissed at her .

'As the Sisters of Fate you three are really stupid sometimes, you are missing the whole point of humans. Anyways, time to go. I have been away too long, there must be a queue at my place,' the Old Lady waved at the Sisters and departed with a wave into thin air.

'Me too, got work to do.' The old Man hurried after the Old Woman as he didn't want to stay with the sisters.

'I see it'

'A ripple has been caused in the waves of all their lives'

'The old woman shouldn't have promised the boy then, a human had to die an early death'

'Yes, there couldn't be two protectors for this soul'

'The soul of Hwi already  has guardians but this human, he was persistant.'

'And now he is being backed up by the Memory Keeper, the Ferry Man and even the Grim Reaper'

'What do we do?'

'Nothing, we can do nothing. But watch.'

'This is the first time in eternity, this has happened.'

'I hope the boy remembers because all this is useless if he doesn't. Only the Soul of Hwi will get hurt then.'

'Should we do something?' all the three sisters looked at each other .

'Come on look at them, everyone is helping them. A little push will make no difference anyways.' grinned the youngest sister at the older ones

'I mean look at their names, its like there is something greater than us helping them.'

'Oh yes, the names'

'Well fine... we will bring her to their lives but that's it,' ordered the oldest sister as she left the room.
