I stare at him. And he stares back. I know he saw me, and I feel my heart do flips in my chest for the part of me that still loved Percy Jackson.
I was so deep in thought, I trip down the last step and Leo catches me. Percy acts like he's not paying attention, but I knew he was. I saw a million different possible looks cross his face at once.
Anger. Sadness. Disappointment. Jealousy. Happy.
And regret at what could have been.
He catches me looking then walks off, flustered.

Back in Cabin 9, it was quite a strange sight. I sat on a bunk and looking at drills, weapons, you name it. I even saw a little robot with a bottle of toothpaste ready to attack at any moment. (Ahaha I just referred to my other fanfic 😂)
Leo just sat on a bench, fiddling with some machine parts trying to make something. I was dying to join him, but the few eyes on me made me self-conscious.
I take off my jacket, well it was Leo's. It got cold in the sky on Festus sometimes so he had let me borrow it.
I set it on his bunk, knowing the real reason I hadn't given it back yet was because I just wanted to smell him on me, to feel him on me.
It seems silly now but looking back at it, it wasn't weird at all.
I guess that's what love does to you.
