Chp. 7- The Lake

^^I wanted to know if it's okay with y'all if I switch perspectives..? This isn't just a Calypso and Leo so it's after BoO so I wanted a few other perspectives. Just comment :) MY GODS 700 VIEWS?! Ily all <3 ^^

I was left standing at the pavilion wondering what the Hades I was going to do. I could ask Leo to tag along, but I didn't want to ask.

I trudge back to the Hephaestus cabin ignoring the stares.

Leo suddenly rushes up to me.

"Hey- sorry I didn't invite you sooner,"

My heart drops.

"- I was just excited to be with the 7 again. Will you come with us?"

He takes my hand in his and it's hard to say no to his sweet brown eyes.

"I- sure." I smile lightly. It may be a long night.

I stop by the camp store to buy a bathing suit, and decide to just wear some cutoffs and a t-shirt. I was never really was a showy person.

I slip on my shorts a t-shirt, then follow Leo outside and greet the rest of the 7. They all welcome me with warm smiles, but Percy's face holds uncertainty.

I squeeze Leo's hand and we walk down the dirt path to the lake.

Annabeth puts a towel in the sparking sand, and takes out a novel. Jason and Percy instantly begin a water battle, and Percy is fighting it somewhat half-heartily. I decide not to dwell on that.

Piper takes a round on a jet-ski, and Leo looks like he can't wait to get his hands on it. I have no idea what to say or do, so I talk to Hazel. She seems the safest to talk to right now.

"Um.. Hey." I studder.

Hazel gives me a warm smile.

"Hey Calypso. So you have the hots for Leo?"
She beams.

Oh gods. Bad idea.

"Where did you hear that?" I look anywhere but at her eyes.

"Leo. Did you know, that back in my time I dated his great-grandfather? He was quite the troublemaker, but I loved him. Our boy Leo here looks exactly like him." I see a hint of sadness behind her eyes.

Oh gods. Oh gods. My heart knots up and I want to go hide like a coward.

"Oh." I have no words for her explanation, my mind begins swimming.

"You okay? You look pale.." Hazel questions.

I nod and go sit on the dock as Piper pulls up on her jet ski in a neon blue bikini.

She hops off into the water and Jason brings her into his arms. She showers him with kisses and looks back at me as if to say take that.

I quickly look away as Leo walks up to her.

She nods and I see him gleam with joy as he leaps onto the jet ski. Oh my gods. Could this get anymore awkward?

He pats the space behind him a gestures to me.

"Hop on, Sunshine." He gives a dazzling smile. Piper states daggers.

I get on behind him with a smile as he fires it up. I wrap my hands tightly around his waist as it begins to move and I can't help but grin more.

"Get ready for a ride!" He yells and we dart off into the sunset.

My heart leaps and the warm water sprays me in the face. I hold on to his waist for dear life the entire time, but enjoying every minute of it. I almost didn't want to get off when we pulled back into the dock before dark, and I see Piper and Jason passed out on a towel. How indecent.

Leo laughs at the sight and I can see a prank forming in his head. But Percy is ahead of him.

Before our eyes, he raises a tidal wave and it crashes into them. They instantly wake up and start gagging as Jason yells curses and bring Piper up for air.

"I'll get you back one day, Jackson!"

"Sure." Percy rolls his eyes and laughs.

Piper coughs and Jason pats her back. He gives Percy a death glare and helps her to her feet. They retreat to the shower houses for the night.

Percy goes over and nags on Annabeth as she's reading. He gets her attention and then takes her book, closing it so she loses her page.

She gasps, then raises her hand to slap him, but he stops it in mid-air and wraps her hands around him and into a kiss. It was so beautiful, and yet I wonder if that could be me. Stop thinking like that.

Percy stops and looks over at me and Annabeth notices and I can see her mind putting the pieces together. She says not a word, she just flips through her book trying to find the page number.

Hazel and Frank go for a walk in the woods, and Percy sits next to Annabeth twirling her blonde curls around. She doesn't seem to mind, as long as he doesn't mess with her book.

Leo leads me to a towel, and we sit.

"Did you have a nice time?" He questions.

I nod, and then feel a little uneasy.

He puts his hand under my chin and says

"What's troubling that pretty little mind of yours? I can see it in your eyes." He looks worried.

"I just feel weird around your friends. I feel like an 8th wheel." I look down and Leo laughs.

"What's so funny?" I ask, my annoyance growing.

"Is funny, because I'm the 7th wheel. But I guess not anymore." He looks into my eyes.

He moves in and kisses me, his lips are warm and move in sync with mine. I love him so much, my heart beats out of my chest.

"Oooohhh, get it Leo!" I hear Connor's voice. Ugh.

We break apart, and Leo gives a glare Hades would be proud of.

Leo jumps up and runs after him, and Connor scrambled for the bushes. I can't contain my hysteric laugh as I watch.

Maybe tonight wasn't so bad after all.
