Hailey looked at her calendar when she woke up, and it took her a bit to realize that it was Saturday.

Oh crap. The party.

Hailey couldn't tell if she was excited or nervous, or both. She took a deep breath to try and calm herself down, before figuring out what she should wear. She went to her wardrobe and decided that she would be simple today. After brief planning, Hailey got herself into a plain black short-sleeve and denim shorts, black socks, and white converse shoes. She put her hair into a somewhat gold-colored headband. Then, Hailey looked at herself in the mirror, and smiled. This should be fine. She thought to herself.

Hailey then headed out of her room, and saw her mom. "I'm going to Rowan's house." She said. "Is that okay with you?"

To Hailey's relief, her mom nodded. "Of course!" She said.

Hailey smiled before getting her bike and heading out of her house. Then, she got on her bike and started heading off to Rowan's house. Even though she didn't know what time it was, she figured the party was probably happening by now, or starting to happen.

Once Hailey had arrived at Rowan's house, she saw some bikes by the door and put her bike by them, heading into the house. The door had been unlocked, which wasn't wise in Hailey's opinion. Once Hailey headed inside the house, she saw quite a bit of people. She recognized most of them, but some she didn't. There were already beer bottles, and even some bottles of vodka, which Hailey hadn't expected.

Rowan was talking to someone when she noticed Hailey. "Oh, hey!" She exclaimed, happily heading towards Hailey, giving her a hug. "Oh my God, you look beautiful!"

Hailey raised an eyebrow. "Really?" She asked. "This is literally just basic clothes."

"Oh, hush." Rowan said. She gave Hailey a beer bottle that was in her hand. "Here." Rowan said.

Hailey took the bottle and looked at it. "Are you sure?" She asked.

Rowan nodded. "Of course." She answered. "Come on, Hailey. It's not even that much alcohol. Just have a little sip!"

Hailey sighed and opened the beer bottle, taking a tiny taste of the beer. It tasted a little strong, and a bit sweet at the same time.

"Is that good enough?" Hailey asked.

Rowan looked thoughtful for a few moments. "Have another sip." She said.

Hailey was hesitant at first, but had another sip.

"Alright, is that good enough?"

Rowan smiled, but it was a mischievous one. "One more."

Hailey rolled her eyes and took another sip of the beer. "Okay, I don't want anymore."

Rowan shrugged. "You don't have to drink anymore."

She turned around and headed off to where the drinks were, and got herself a bottle of vodka. Hailey knew that vodka was a strong kind of alcohol, and she had a bad feeling about Rowan and any teenager here drinking it.

"If I have to drink this, then so will most of you." She said. "Perhaps we can have a little contest to see who can drink the most."

Everyone exchanged excited glances with each other before looking at Rowan again. One girl, though, seemed a bit unsure, much to Hailey's relief.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" She asked. "I don't want anyone here to die of alcohol poisoning. You realize that exists, right?"

Rowan looked at the girl. "Relax." She said. "No one here's getting alcohol poisoning."
