As the weeks passed, the subtle changes in body and bump became much more obvious and Dianne was feeling the tolls of pregnancy much more this time than before. It seemed like even the smallest of tasks drained her, from washing the dishes, to even brushing her hair and maintaining the colour but despite this, Charlotte's excitement was contagious. Bumbling through the front door following a shopping trip with Daddy, the four year old bundle of energy came barrelling towards her daydreaming mother, full pelt. "Mama, Mama, MAMA! I missed you and Dada and me got a 'prise for you and baby! And sweeties but i'm not 'upposed to tell you that, its a secret shhhhhh!" she squeals excitedly, wrapping her tiny arms around her mothers leg and nuzzling into the small but definitive bump which had proved to be charlotte's new favourite resting place. Wincing slightly as her daughter headbutted a particularly sensitive spot on her abdomen, one hand reached down to lazily stroke Lottie's hair, whilst she stretched up with her other, to touch her husband's face as he places a kiss on her head, having missed his wife whilst out on his short trip. Glancing up, "What's this about sweeties I heard Joseph Sugg? I'm guessing a certain princess was extremely well behaved in the shops today? More importantly did you bring me and Jelly bean any?" She smirk, stepping into his arms as their child disappears off, after muttering something about her dolls. "Jelly bean? How is Jelly bean?" he mutters, running his fingers gently through her tangled hair as he pulls the pair of them towards the sofa, noticing the tired look on Dianne's face as she stifles a yawn. " Hungry. My cravings have been wacko recently! Do we have any pineapple or maybe some Turkish delight?" Chuckling, Joe lifts his drowsy wife off his lap and heads off in search of said cravings.
Returning to find his wife sound asleep, Joe places the snacks beside her, coupled with a glass of water and some pre-natal vitamins for when she woke up, then continue off in search of his daughter, who had been strangely quiet in the last thirty minutes and that always meant chaos was about to erupt somewhere. Tiptoeing into her bedroom, Charlotte perched on her bed, nursing one of her baby dolls and attempting to force one of her old dummies into its mouth, whilst she rocked it side-to-side, singing twinkle twinkle under her breath. Taking in the sight in front of him, Joe felt his very heart melt a tiny bit, knowing how amazing Charlotte will be as a sister when the time comes. With Dianne being only 11 weeks, it felt like an eternity before they would be a family of four but the excitement of watching his wife grow their second child, admiring the way her body grew and changed to accommodate their baby. Creeping into her room, Joe sat down quietly behind his daughter and pulled her tiny body back onto his lap, still cradling the doll, "What are you doing coffee-bean? Are you having fun?" He smiles, pushing the hair off Lottie's face so he could look into her eyes while she chatted. "Obviously daddy! This is my little sister, Juliet and when mama has the baby, i'm going to call her Juliet too and we are going to play dolls and dress up and I 'pose i'll share my blankie too. Daddy, I already love baby and I just cant WAIT til she here." She rambles, bouncing up and down as she continues chatting about the game she was playing before he interrupted her. Leaving her once again, hesitating for just a minute longer to watch her play through the crack in the door, he headed back to his sleeping wife, who seemingly hadn't moved since he left her. Approaching the sofa, he noted the discomfort written all over her face as she clutched her tummy in her sleep and rolled over, burying her face into the cushions and shivering lightly. Grabbing the fluffy blanket from the chair, Joe shuffled awkwardly behind his wife, dragging the covers over the pair of them and wrapping an arm over her bump, rubbing it in soothingly circles in an attempt to ease her pain. Stirring, Dianne relaxes into his grasp, placing her own hand over his and sighing softly at the contact. Truth be told, she did love being pregnant but at the present time, the discomfort outweighed her excitement.
Coming back into reality, the poking on her forehead becoming impossible to ignore, coupled with the pain in her stomach and the innocent voice which kick-started her maternal instincts. "Mama, I hungry now. Dinner? Daddy sleepy too." She mumbles, dragging her sharp nails over her mother's face, thinking it was soothing. "Lottie babe, you're hurting mama, we need to cut those nails of yours! I'll wake Daddy up and we will make some dinner now, how does that sound? Then maybe a movie and an early night I think, you seem sleepy too my little koala. Go and wash your hands please babygirl, while I wake Dad." As the pitter-patter of little feet left the room, Dianne set to work rousing her sleeping husband. "Little one, time to get up...Princess Lottie Sugg has requested dinner." she smirks, pressing little presses along his forehead. Reluctant to wake up, Joe snuggles closer to her chest, shooting up as he heard the pained gasp escape her mouth. "Di? What's up? Are you okay? Is bean okay? DI?" he panics, grabbing his wife and pulling her close to his chest. "Joseph, you're smothering me, i'm fine! You just hurt my boobs that's all, they have been a lot more sensitive recently, it must be a pregnancy thing, I just didn't get it last time. I'm fine, promise! Now, dinner. Curry? Mexican rice? Stuffed peppers?" she mumbles, sitting up straight and untangling her limbs from his as she moves off the sofa and towards the kitchen. As she walks past the large windows, Dianne can't help but notice the swell in her abdomen, how defined it was becoming and her breasts had definitely grown, at least a size. Her face was beginning to round off, the pregnancy glow working wonders for her skin. As her mother had told her a million times before, pregnancy really did suit her, once she pushed through the subtle changes in body and bump. Feeling considerably better than before, preparing dinner was a dream and family dinner went without a hitch; back to normality for the Sugg family, at least for now.
Sorry guys! This week has been crazy for me so I didn't manage to get this up on Wednesday🤦🏻♀️ Hope you enjoy a Friday upload instead!
