According to the back of Luigi's overalls, Gmod isn't Luigi's friend especially since I'm HIGHLY sure that Luigi can hold a gun... or whatever it is he's holding... better than what is seen in the picture.

Also, I can't remember if I said so or not, but it's spring as of right now.

"Goddamn it," Luigi thought as he entered the bus. "Why is Diana the bus driver again?"

Luigi sat at the back of the bus looking out the window watching the others get in. Excluding Diana, there was only him, Nicole, Sebastian, and Mario on the bus. There were more people on the bus yesterday. Luigi pushed it aside as he watched the hotel get smaller and smaller in the distance.

"Hey, Weegee," said Nicole startling Luigi. "Sebastian's going with your brother so I'm going with you. Cool?"

"Y-yeah. That's cool. So what do we need?"

"Whatever meds we can get our mitts on, fabrics so we can fix the clothes that some people rip, whatever food source we can find, and whatever else would make the hotel a better place to live. Clear?"

"Crystal, Nick."

"Good. Stick close to me and remember; zombies attack anything that makes noise except for animals. If there is an animal zombie, it can see you and nine times out of ten, it's faster than the blue hedgehog so be quick when smashing its head in."

"Okay, but why don't the zombies attack the animals?"

"Some do. Most don't."

Luigi hummed in response as the city slowly got into range. Diana drove deep into the city and dropped Nicole, Sebastian, Mario, and Luigi off before driving away to find gas for the bus and more flamethrower fluid for Nicole.

"Alright," said Nicole. "Seb and I have earpieces in case something happens. We meet here when we got what we need. Clear?"

Sebastian, Mario, and Luigi nodded before Sebastian and Mario went North while Nicole and Luigi went South. Let's check up on Sebastian and Mario first this time.

The safest way through the city was to leap from rooftop to rooftop. Mario looked over at Sebastian to see if he can catch a glimpse of what was under the hoodie. Something shined in the spring light, but Mario couldn't pinpoint what it was.

"Sebastian?"

"Yes, Mari?"

"What weapon do you use?"

"Whatever."

"Huh?"

"Nicole and I used to have wooden swords before they broke. Nicole got lucky with fire and the war fans, but I was taught to use whatever I could get my hands on."

"Oh, I get it! That's pretty cool!"

"Thanks. Now let's see if we can find a diamond in this hellhole."

Mario smiled as he and Sebastian leaped from rooftop to rooftop eventually hitting a few stores. Meanwhile, on the flip side of the city, Luigi and Nicole were in a fortune cookie factory. It was already cleared of food during the first three months but Nicole would take anything she deemed useful for her and the hotel.

"Okay," said Luigi. "I got the metal that Ethan wanted and a couple of tools... Why are there tools in a fortune cookie factory?"

"Mechanic related shit," replied Nicole. "Something must've gone haywire before the zombies moved in or someone dropped them while trying to raid this joint. Either way, finders keepers under these circumstances."

"I guess..."

"Something wrong?"

"I'm... not used to this new life..."

"Everyone feels like that here. We're rivers, Luigi. Remember that."

"Rivers?"

"Tree falls into a river. Does the river stop?"

"No. It finds a way around the tree."

"There you go."

Luigi nodded as he put the tools into the backpack. He heard a bang in the distance.

"Nicole?"

"Don't ask."

"Huh?"

"DO NOT ASK. There's idiots in the city and we do NOT fuck with those idiots, clear?"

"Um... Okay?"

Nicole knew exactly who would be foolish enough to fire a gun and keep firing. She hated that fool with a burning passion and she wasn't going to let Luigi anywhere near Oaf.

It was two o'clock when Nicole, Sebastian, Mario, and Luigi reunited with their supplies and got on the bus. Luigi could still feel Diana's gaze on him and he didn't like it one bit. Out of all the times he wished he was average height before, he now wished he was his original height or Mario's height so he couldn't see Diana in the mirrors. He should be lucky that Diana couldn't see his mouth otherwise she would see the conversation he and Nicole were having.

"Something the matter, Weeigi?"

"I don't think Diana likes me..."

"Pay her no mind. Keep her around because she's the only one who can drive this bus safely and she knows where to find flamethrower fluid."

"So she's like this to any guy?"

"Only those who interact with me. Apart from Seb. I got a theory as to why, but I don't care too much to find out why. If she bugs you too much, go to room 666."

"Is that your room?"

"Yep. Knock first."

"Thanks, Nicole."

"Nicky."

"Huh?"

"You're the real Luigi Mario, right?"

"Of course."

"Then call me Nicky, but when it's just you and me... Okay?"

"Alright."

Luigi felt honored to be able to call her Nicky. Speaking of nicknames...

"Sebastian?"

"Yes, Mari?"

"Why do you call me that?"

"I think it fits you well, Mari. You're... okay with it, right?"

"Of course! I don't mind being called Mari."

Sebastian smiled and snaked his arm around Mario pulling him closer. Mario was surprised, but he leaned against Sebastian's chest listening to...

Machinery?

Mario looked up at Sebastian who was looking out the window. He couldn't see his right eye making him question the reason why.

"Sebastian?"

"Yes, Mari?"

"Why is your right eye covered? Are you hiding a scar?"

Sebastian's smile faded as he held Mario closer.

"If it's okay with you... I don't like talking about it..."

"Oh... I'm sorry... I won't ask again... But I do have something to say about it."

"What's that?"

"If you're covering a scar and whoever made the scar isn't a zombie, I hope they're eaten by a fucking herd of them. If they DO become a zombie, I wouldn't mind hammering the shit out of them."

Sebastian chuckled as he pulled Mario closer to him. Mario was now on top of Sebastian as he leaned against the window. He was happy to be within Sebastian's embrace, even if he didn't understand why he was treating him like he was.

Regardless of what was happening around them, Mario and Luigi were happy to be a part of the hotel with Sebastian and Nicole. They were going to try their hardest to be as useful to the hotel as they can be.
