"How far away is the Uber, I'm freezing" I complained dramatically to Andre as we stood on my porch.
I didn't really want to stand in the house with everything that had just happened so it was actually me who'd suggested that we wait outside, especially because the initial location of the Uber was only 3 minutes away.
"Babe, we just got out here. Chill" he said chuckling at my dramatic reaction to the light spring breeze.
I looked over at him in annoyance, but didn't respond because I knew that I was making the weather out to be way more than what it was. He could've at least offered me his jacket or something.
"Look, it's pulling around the corner right now." He pointed to the end of the block and I was relieved.
I walked off the porch and toward sidewalk at the front of the house, trying to beat the car there and limit my time in the breeze, Andre following closely behind me.
We got into the car and I immediately rested my head on Andre's shoulder as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into his embrace. Though we had just slept through a good part of the day, I was suddenly tired all over again.
I listened as Andre greeted the driver and and reassured his name and the destination before we began to ride.
I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I had drifted off to sleep.

"Baby, wake up. We're here" I heard as Andre lightly shook my shoulders.
I lifted my head up and stretched and yawned. The nearest Walmart was a good distance from my house, but it seemed to me as if I had just closed my eyes.
Andre opened his door and crawled out of the car with me not too far behind, before thanking the driver and shutting the door.
The breeze that had once bothered me no longer seemed to have an affect on me as I was more focused on how tired I was at the moment.
Like the baby I was, I grabbed Andre's arm and leaned on him as we walked into the store.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked down and saw that I had a text from Aaron. I didn't even bother reading it because I was still upset with him. Sure, it hurt to be ignoring my best friend and there was a part of me that wanted to hear what he had to say and just get past this like we did with everything else, but it hurt more that he wasn't being supportive of my decisions despite how dumb he or anyone else may think they are. And for that reason, I wasn't ready to talk yet.
It was surprisingly not crowded in Walmart which surprised me for a Friday night; it was a weekend, many people liked to do their shopping at night due to having to have worked earlier in the day and teens liked to come here and play around in the technology and toys sections.
Andre led me to the section of the store that sold household items so that we could find the items to replace. There wasn't much to replace really besides the broken dishes. Lucky for me, none of the lamps had been broken even though I wasn't exactly sure what I'd tell my mom about the ripped couches. Maybe I could just get a seat cover and hide them for as long as I could.
It still amazed me that Andre and I had slept through that entire thing. I wasn't really a deep sleeper so to not have heard any glass being smashed was crazy to me. The dick really had me slumped.
I was also thankful that my mom had gotten most of our household items from Walmart so it wouldn't be hard to find the exact items.
Andre and I briefly separated so that he would pick out the picture frames and I could get the dishes since I knew exactly how many of each dish we had and that was obviously the harder task.
