September came and our teacher in Physics looked through my profile from the school's database. He searched for the profile because he's curious about my high grades from exams and in participation than the rest of the batch this year. After researching my profile and print it all, he walked to Mrs. Echavia's room and knocked three times.
Mrs. Echavia heard him knock and Mr. Catalbas walked in.
"Mrs. Echavia," Mr. Catalbas said. "can I come in?"
Mrs. Echavia looked at Mr. Catalbas on the floor and immediately smiled.
"Sure, Mr. Catalbas." she replied. "Come in and have a seat."
Mr. Catalbas walked inside the room and sat on the empty chair. He looked directly on Mrs. Echavia's eyes and smiled.
"Do you know something about Alex de Castro?" he asked.
Mrs. Echavia looked at Mr. Catalbas and noticed he's persistent in his question.
"Oh, Mr. De Castro." she remembered. "Yes, I remembered him. What about him?"
"Do you still interested in taking him as your Student Assistant?" he asked.
"Nope." Mrs. Echavia insisted. "He's a fourth year now. If you want, you can have him as your assistant for next week's Student's Week."
"By the way, why did you ask him as your assistant last year?" Mr. Catalbas asked.
"I always based my choosing by the student's performance and grades in school." Mrs. Echavia replied. "In Mr. De Castro's case, I looked and took a good look on his performance and grades each examinations and found out he's got higher grades and performances in school. That's why I chose him as my assistant for last year's Student's Week. And he got perfect feedback from the students he taught."
"So that's why." Mr. Catalbas said. "I'll ask him on lunch."
"You better be." Mrs. Echavia agreed. "All students asked him last year for his brilliance and his excellence in all subjects. Ask him now before it's too late."
"Okay, ma'am."
Mr. Catalbas walked out from Mrs. Echavia's room and head back to his room. He sat on his office chair and looked at the clock. The time now is about five minutes before the first subject starts. He readied himself and took his chalk box, his chalkboard eraser and his class record.
And when the bell rang, all students walked inside the classrooms and sat back to their chairs. They waited for their first subject teacher to walk inside their classrooms and stared at the chalkboard while waiting for their teachers for this day.
I walked inside my room after the seven-thirty-o'clock bell rang. I and my friends who were enrolled in different sections walked inside our rooms and sat on our chairs. After a few minutes, our Trigonometry teacher went in and greeted us all. She then walked to the desk at the center of the stage, put her things on the desk and took a stick of white chalk from her chalk box.
She started to teach as she draw some triangles and rectangles on the chalkboard. She also wrote the equation of each form and explained the exact solution of the equation she gave to us. After explaining, she wrote a word problem that has a connection with the equation and the example she gave.
Ten in the morning came and the all students walked back inside their classrooms for the third subject for the day. The teachers came in and taught them their lessons for the day. Their classes ended when eleven came. All teachers head out and walked to the other classrooms to teach the other student the same lessons they taught.
Mr. Catalbas walked in though it's his time to teach us his Physics subject. He looked at the class and suddenly looked at me with his own eyes. He then walked inside the room, towards the desk and put his things on the desk. Then he took a piece of a white chalk from his chalk box and wrote some lessons on the chalkboard.
