Three months later and November immediately came. It was a cold weekend when I saw the music videos in the TV. Nowadays, some music are kinda rock and punk rock is born. The music is very good though it's very loud to the ears and very good in handling those guitar strings feeling on their fingertips.
Night came and I was watching that same music videos of Green Day band on TV. They've got nice music although some people didn't like it and youngsters nowadays really like their music so far. I also like their music due to their good strumming on their guitars, the way the drummer smashes his drum set with his drum sticks, and the loudness that they feel on my ears.
Then suddenly, my hands started to make points in the air feeling the vibe from the music. My left hand and its fingers started to form some chord positions and my other hand started to flick in and out, like strumming guitar chords up and down. And they're very good in following the chord positions from TV and I really like it.
Saturday came and I walked to the bathroom to take a bath. The music from TV last Monday kept my fingers still in strumming some guitar chords in the air like a rockstar. Then I looked at the bathroom mirror and my head started to remember the lyrics from the MTV magazine from the music store across the street. And when the lyrics of the music of Green Day shown in TV pops out, I immediately bought the whole magazine.
I read the lyrics of their song after I bought the magazine. And noticed it's kinda rebellious but has good rhymes with it. I imagined the music in my head while chanting the lyrics with it. And noticed I've got a nice voice when I heard myself singing with the tune of the same music. So in that Saturday morning, when having a nice wash, I stared to bring an acoustic guitar from the same music store and I strummed the chords shown in the magazine while singing the lyrics with my voice.
Monday came and I walked to the cafeteria after the first three subjects has gone through. The boys walked inside the cafeteria and walked to the same chair to eat their own lunch. They looked at me and saw me smiled at myself.
"What's the matter, Alex?" Danny asked. "Is there something wrong?"
I looked at the three and walked to back to my eating. "Nothing." I replied. "I've never thought of expecting some new talents on me."
"Like?" they asked.
"Last Saturday, while I'm watching some rock videos from bands on TV," I started. "my hands started to feel the rhythm. I can't stop them from strumming and banging into the beat. And then, I can sing a song. A voice came into myself that I haven't have from my childhood."
"Well," Erick said. "an instantaneous talent discovery, I presume."
"Yeah." I said back. "I think it is."
Then a moment of silence came before Vincent said something.
"Guys," Vincent said at us. "I've also got something to tell you."
"What is it?" I asked.
"My right foot stomped last night," Vincent replied. "with the same music as Alex said."
"So that's it, then." I said with a conclusion. "We'll participate in this Christmas Intercollegiate Performance Competition."
"What?!!" they all shouted at once. "But in our group, we only have two men who have skills in singing or dancing or even, rocking. Only you and Vincent only."
I think of some ways on how I handle the other two. "I'll teach you." I said at Erick and Vincent. "I'll teach you how to use guitars."
"But how?" Erick and Danny asked.
"I have a song magazine at my apartment." I said at the two. "We'll start this Saturday, in my crib."
"Okay, then." they all said.
