a/n: I'm literally the worst at keeping an update schedule, I'm so sorry you guys. But, when you have rent and bills to pay you spend most of your free time working. Hopefully once the semester starts in a couple of days I'll be able to get back in my groove. (p.s. stream shadow)

Apologies for typos and grammatical errors, this is unedited. Also for those of you that noticed it in one of my earlier chapters, I had said before that Levi knew Kenny was his uncle already by accident. I have edited that chapter now to where he still is unaware.

Levi POV

It's late afternoon when we decide to move out of the clearing. We've wasted enough time as it is camping out here, but everyone is restless. Without Eren and Christa our chances of survival are very slim, and not because of their combat skills.

"So, you said they're in an old chapel?" I ask Hanje as she packs some rations into a wagon.

"We have reason to believe so, yes. It's the only place that would make sense." She closes the crate off and covers it with a cloth, then turns to me. "Where's Lux?" The corners of her lips turn up and she squints her eyes.

I shrug casually, keeping up a facade of calm. My reputation still stands no matter where my feelings are at the moment. "Think she's with Mikasa. Said she wanted to talk about Eren."

"Hm. What's her deal with that kid, huh? She got a crush on him or something?" She nudges my shoulder with her elbow, to which I scoff at.

"Believe me Hanje, that punk Eren wouldn't know what to do if a woman like Lux had a crush on him. Besides, she understands him. They have the same attitude about perseverance. Sometimes it's so damn annoying." I stop myself, feeling myself start to ramble on. I look over at Hanje to see her smug grin, so I send her a glare. "Shut up."

"I didn't even say anything."

Turning away from her to go round up the cadets, I scoff. "You didn't have to!" I can hear her crazed laughter as I walk away.

I'm honestly not sure where Lux is. She fell asleep beside me last night at the camp sight, and I only saw her for a short while earlier this afternoon. She said she wanted to go for a short walk, but I insisted someone go with her since we don't know who could be out here. She took Mikasa with her to y'all about Eren I guess but I haven't seen her since. Now, the sun hangs low and it's time to move out.

As I walk about the campsite in search for her my mind begins to wander. Last night had been...unplanned. It hadn't crossed my mind that she would return to us, or to me. I had no doubt that she would be safe, but I figured she would lay low. Maybe try to find Erwin first or even find Phoenix. Never in a million years did I think things would play out like they did.

My first thought when she walked into the clearing with Jean is that I was seeing things, but then people began hugging her and holding her, and I had to know if it was real. I needed to be alone with her. It was best to wait until everyone went their separate ways for the evening to even interact with her.

As I continue to walk around the campsite I seen Eren and Mikasa's friend Armin destroying some firewood. If anyone knows where a Mikasa might be, it's him. And where there's Mikasa there's Lux. "Arlert! Where's Mikasa?"

He jumps a little. I knew he was easily frightened, but it amazes me sometimes how skiddish he is for a soldier.

"Captain!" He salutes, blonde hair shaking slightly. He should really cut it, or keep it pulled back. It's too long for him to actually be able to see anything in my opinion.

"Never mind the formalities right now. Where's Mikasa?" I repeat. "We have to get going soon and she's the only one I don't see helping pack up."

"Her and Commander Lux should be returning soon. They went go fill up canteens from that spring about fifty yards from here."
