In the beach house at Steven and Nora's bed, Steven is talking to Connie on his phone. As he invites Connie to his house to hangout.
Steven: *on the phone with Connie* What? Why not?
At Connie's line.
Connie: Steven, I told you, I can't hang out today. I have tennis practice. And then Mom wants to go out for a family dinner. But she said I could hang out all day tomorrow, and I can come over all the time now that it's summer vacation.
Steven: What's summer vacation?
Connie: *on phone* You know, when school gets out for the summer?
Steven: *lying upside down on the bed* I've never been to this- how do you say- "school". How does it work?
Connie: It's a place where you go to learn. It's full of desks, chalkboards...
Steven: Hmm.
Connie: Books, maps.
Steven: I see.
10 minutes later
Pearl assembles all the things that Connie mentioned on the floor.
Steven: *looks at pile* Yep, it's all coming together.
Nora then comes inside the beach house after helping Greg in the car wash to see the piled up school supplies.
Steven:Hey Nora!
Nora: What's with the pile of school supplies?
Steven:wait?! You know school Nora?
Nora:Of course I know what school is. Steven we're homeschooled by the gems.
Steven:really?
Nora nodded at Steven.
Steven:huh. But still,i wanna try this.
Pearl: okay so, how do we begin our "school"?
Steven: *holds the locker beside him* Ugh... I... I don't know! This is everything Connie told me. Why do I never ask follow-up questions?! Who will teach little Stevie now!?
Pearl: *gasps* Teach you?! Steven! If only I had known that's what you really wanted!
Nora:please never say little Stevie ever again.
Steven:what? don't you wanna be called little nor--
Nora covers Steven's mouth. Nora looks at Steven with a menacing look on her.
Nora:*annoyed* don't ever say it or i'll tickle you for a week,got it?!
Steven:*mumbles and sweats*
Pearl:anyways. Let me grab something real quick in my room.
Nora removes her hand from Steven's mouth. Pearl goes to her room to get something.
10 minutes later.
Nora:And that's about everything I know about schools.
Steven:*starry eyes* wow. Going to school sounds great!
Nora: yeah but we're homeschooled. And besides if we had morning class you'll have a hard time waking up.
Steven:oh come on. im getting better at waking myself up.
Nora:Steven,you wake at 10:00. You call that getting better at waking yourself up.
Steven:*sweatdrop and embarrassed laugh*
