Chapter 17: Kali Likes Who!?

"I like Rhett" she said. Me and Aylin sat there in shock. "You do" we quietly squealed. She nodded. "I've seen him walking around and stuff and I just love his hair and his eyes" Kali said daydreaming. Me and Aylin looked at each other. "So" Me and Aylin said. "Can you to do me a favour?" Kali said her voice getting high pitched. "Can you Uh you know introduce me to Rhett" Kali said smiling and blushing a bit. Me and Aylin nodded. Relief stretched across Kali's face. We all smiled and giggled. The bell rung. We checked out our books we were reading and walked back to class. "Omg omg OMG Rhett's over there" Kali said walking straight and looking straight ahead. Rhett waved to me. I fake smiled and kept walking. When we arrived at science class me an Aylin stared at Kali. "Why didn't you ask him then!?" We yelled. "Ok ok I'm really nervous and I've never had a boyfriend what's your tips for Link?" Kali asked me. My face turned bland and a bit sad. "Oh I'm not with link anymore he has a new girlfriend" I said getting teary eyed. The next thing I knew I got squished. Both girls pulled me into a really tight hug. I smiled and wiped my eyes. We walked into class. I sat down as Mrs. Gregor blabbered on. I looked out the window. Link walked past. A tear fell down my cheek. The girl he walks with everyday used to be me. Now it's her. More and more tears fell as link kissed the girl on the cheek and he left leaving me in misery...

Later that day me, Aylin and Kali walked home. Aylin and Kali live 2 houses down from mine which is hella cool 😊. I still can't stop thinking about link. Stop it Lucy stop it now. Rhett walked past us. "Uh Rhett" I said. Kali fiddled with her thumbs and Aylin's face lit up with excitement. Rhett stopped and smiled at me, his hair glistening in the afternoon sun. "Yeah" he said. "I'd like you to meet my friend Kali" I said. Kali and Rhett shook hands and me and Aylin smiled. "I love your boots" Rhett said pointing to Kali's boots. She blushed and thanked him. Rhett kissed her cheek an walked off. Well that escalated quickly. Apparently now Rhett is good with the ladies. We all smiled and giggled. Kali jumped up and down as we walked off.
