Chapter 61: Changes :)

Grade 9. 14 years old. 2006

From then on my life turned a pretty sharp corner. Some things changed for the better. Me and Link were super cautious especially when hiking. We never left each other's side except when we had to go to sleep at our homes. Me and Link recovered well but it took 4 months. All 5 of us made a pact that we will never fight or argue again. Brandon got suspended from school after they found out what he did to me. Construction workers are now working on making the mountain safer for hikers. To this day there's still a white mark on the rocks I died on. My body scraped against it and left a mark. School is a bit better without Brandon but Ashley's still there. Oh well. I just say that if she's gonna hate then she's gonna hate and I won't give a single care in the world 😊😏. Link sings to me everyday. Rhett and Kali have gotten a bit closer together. Aylin on the other hand has a big crush on a boy named Jack. The school prom is tomorrow night and I think Aylin's gonna ask Jack. Me and link and Kali and Rhett are going as couples. Ashley is still annoying but has finally found a hobby (Playground Duty) at school so as long as us five don't go near the playground we are pretty good. Life's pretty good right now. Malachi and me hang out every week. It's nice being with someone who's in your imagination. We had a long long talk and me and my mother are friends again. My dad is still in my memories though but that's ok. Link gives me that sweet smile nearly 24/7. It makes me the happiest girl in the world. Prom is tonight I hope Ashley doesn't ruin everything or show off her sequinned. Whatever who cares about that bratty rich girl anyways 😈...

"Lucy the bus is here!" My mother yelled from the kitchen. I quickly changed into my Neon green shirt, Light blue shorts, Youtube Beanie and vans. I ran down the stairs with my handbag. I kissed my mothers cheek and ran out the door after the bus just like in grade 5. I smiled and hopped onto the bus. I sat at the back with Aylin and Kali. They are both in nice dresses and heels. "Ready to go dress shopping?" Kali said smirking. Me and Aylin nodded as the bus pulled away...

"Oh my god this one is amazing to bad it's 167 dollars" Kali said holding up a sparkling white dress. Me and Aylin agreed. We went through all of the dress racks until we picked out about 6 dresses each. Aylin went first to try on all her dresses. She came out with a pink and purple swirl dress. Me and Kali put our hands on our chins and shook our heads. She went back in. Nope. Aylin went back in. "Hmmm nope" me and Kali said. "No no" me and Kali said. "Probably not" we said. The last dress. Aylin walked out of the changing room. The dress is capital A AMAZING. It's a pink dress with sequins at the top. It flows nicely behind her. Me and Kali did our shocked and amazed faces and nodded. We all hugged and giggled. Just like the old days. Next is Kali. "Nope". "Woah no". "Nope". "Uh uh gurl". "Mmmm not quiet right" Me and Aylin said as Kali changed into dress after dress. Kali stepped into the change room as a normal 15 year old but stepped at as a princess! She's wearing a white dress with snow flakes and patterns all down the dress then its flowy at the bottom. It goes down to her ankles. We all nodded rapidly and laughed. My turn. I breathed nervously and stepped into the pink changing room. I stepped out. "No" the twins said. I changed. "Nope". I changed again. "Hmm probably no". I changed once again. "Oh link wouldn't like that no offence". "Woah no offence but I can't believe they actually made a dress like that!" Squealed the girls. We laughed and I stepped back in. I grabbed the last dress off the hook. I looked at myself in the mirror. Ive never looked this pretty before. I put my hair in a bun and changed into the dress. I pulled away the curtains and stepped out. Both of the girls mouths dropped to the ground. We all squealed and got excited. It's black at the top, sequins around the waist strap and Aqua at the bottom. "It's perfect" we all said at the same time. "Perfect dresses for perfect girls" I said going into the changing rooms to change back into my clothes. As I walked back out we paid our money and ran to McDonald's with big smiles on our faces. We got slushies and walked back home, talking. This is what life's supposed to be. Not fighting or arguing but talking and having fun with your friends. I smiled and walked on carrying the one thing that will make tomorrow's night magical...
