Chapter 57: Dead In The Heart

Rhett's P.O.V (Point Of View)

I waited outside of Lucy's room for her to come back from link's. I wiped my eyes. I didn't want anyone knowing that I'm crying or have been. Me and Lucy's mother walked up the mountain half way until we saw Lucy's body just lying on the rocks still. Her heart wasn't beating and at that moment mine wasn't either. I was petrified. Lucy's mother screamed and we quickly carried her limp body down the mountain but as we did I saw links body lying on the dirt below the mountain. I dropped Lucy's legs and ran over. My eyes were exploding with tears at that time. We carried link and Lucy until we got to flat ground and hen we called the ambulance. We rushed to the hospital then they did surgery on Link. Me, The Twins and Lucy's mother were pretty much bawling our eyes out at that point. Still a steady fall of tears are dropping down my cheeks. I looked down the hallway to see a nurse walking towards me. "Are you Rhett McLaughlin?" She asked. I nodded and stood up. "Lucy and Link will be able to go home in a week" she said. I sighed and sat back down. She walked away leaving me to soak in my misery. I wish none of this happened. I stared at the ground as the minutes pasted...
