Chapter 23: Together Again?

I pulled away from link. He smiled. A smile managed to creep across my face. How in the world did a smile just?- "link I" I said. Link put his finger up to my mouth. "You don't need to say anything your eyes say it all" he said smiling. I missed that a smile so much. Link got on his knees and said to me "Lucy May will you be my girlfriend again?". A tear fell from my eye when I got to height level with him and nodded kissing
his tender lips. Moments like this should last forever. As I kissed him again my dads poem played in my head as I smiled. "Lucy may you're the sun in blue faces and I don't know how I could ever leave you again" link said pulling away from me. I smiled. "Together again?" I said. "Together again" Link said as we kissed for the hundredth time...

As my mother drove out out of the hospital me and link strapped our seat belts in. I stared into his ocean blue eyes as they pretty much hyptonized me 😍. Me and link chatted away like it was our last day on earth. "I'm so sorry" he said. "I know sorry isn't enough but I think I can make it up to you" he said as my mother pulled into the driveway. I can see Rhett is on my front porch sitting there. Me and link hopped out as I grabbed my crutches. Oh yeah the final result of my injuries was a bad punch to the head but the patch just needs to stay on it for a week, a broken and bruised arm and a few cuts and scrapes here and there. As I hopped onto the porch Rhett stood up and wiped his eyes. He was obviously crying beforehand. I smiled. Rhett handed me a bunch of roses, my favourite flower. I thanked him and hugged him. "Hey rip off she's my girl stop gettin her flowers" link said jokingly as he playfully punched Rhett in the shoulder. We all laughed as my mother unlocked the door. "I'll be in my office" she muttered. I don't think I'm friends with her again. I let out a small sigh as she put the keys on the bench and closed her office door. I locked the door as me, Link and Rhett sat in my couch. "I hope your leg and punch gets better" Rhett said. "Yeah well this will be a experience that I'll definitely remember" I said as we all chuckled. "I just had a thought" I said. Both boys looked at me smiling. "Think of all the things for the past 6 years we have been through" I said. We all thought the about it. "Arguments" link said. "Fights" Rhett said. "Yeah but think of all the good times" I said as I put my arms around both boys since I'm sitting in the middle of the couch. "Swimming" Rhett said. "The treehouse" link said. "We just made a memory" I said. Both boys looked at me confused. "The Three Mythical Beasts reunite" I said as a smile crept on all of our faces again. After about 30 minutes of catching up on all of the drama and moments that we have been through since the running away Rhett decided to leave. "I'm so sorry Lucy may hope you get better" Rhett said. Rhett snuck a quick kiss on my hand and left. Me and link laughed as he ran down the road. I smiled at him. "So how are you gonna make it up to me?" I said curious. "Uh huh that's right get I have my ways" link said leaning over from behind the couch and pulling out a guitar. Im confused. "Link I only know a song and not many chords" I said hoping he wasn't gonna ask me to play a song. "No it's ok" link chuckled. "I learnt to play guitar just so I can play this song for you" he said sitting up in guitar position. "You learnt a song just for me" I said as tears floated on my eyelashes. He nodded...
