||IMANI WILLIS

"Baby can you focus, on me." Amara sung to Imani as she tilted her chin up and pecked Imani's lips.

Imani came full prepared to talk to Amara about her feelings, but got sidetracked when Amara started singing to her.

"Mara, I want to talk to you." Imani blushed a light red tint as Amara kept leaving little kisses on her cheek.

"Then talk," Amara sat down on her couch and pulled Imani into her lap.

"I thought a lot about what you said," Imani started but she couldn't bring herself to find the right words to explain herself.

Imani found it hard to explain herself as she sat on Amara's lap in her comfortable little flat.

"Talk to me, it's just us talking." Amara turned Imani around on her lap so that she was now straddling Amara.

"I love what we have going on...I'm comfortable with you even when we're doing things I'm not so sure of." Amara cracked a smile at that but didn't say anything. "I want to be with you, I really do."

"But?" Amara asked with an annoyed expression. Imani understood how Amara would confuse her confession with a rejection.

"No buts, I want to be with you. I don't want to play around anymore especially when I know I have a good thing in front of me." Imani didn't want to make the same mistakes over again.

Imani was afraid to love, afraid to step out of her normal routine, afraid to give someone the chance to step on her heart. But she felt safe with Amara, maybe even too safe.

Amara watched Imani with careful eyes, it felt as though Amara knew Imani was hiding who she truly was.

"Imani, I'm not out to hurt you or any crazy shit like that. I just want you and your honestly, maybe even your loyalty if that isn't too much to ask." Imani felt Amara eyes on her as she blushed like crazy.

"That's not too much to ask," Imani leaned in as she initiated a heated kiss with Amara.

||SHILOH JAMES

"Isla, how may I help you." Shiloh asked with a tired sigh.

Last night he hadn't gotten any good sleep for the simple fact that he couldn't shut his mind off. He had too much on his mind and his parents were coming to visit in a couple of days.

"Why do I feel like you're tired of seeing me," Isla joke but Shiloh was out of it.

He let out a dry laugh, "never, sit down and tell me what I can help you with."

"I took your advice and I talked to my parents," Isla started.

"Yeah?" Shiloh looked up from his files as the talk of Isla parents peaked his interest.

"Now they want to adopt a kid, so that I have someone to talk to." Isla huffed. "Like if I wanted to fucking talk to anyone other than them, I would talk to our house maids."

Shiloh sighed tired all over again, "Isla you're a smart girl, so think about it. Without your parents attention you feel kind of empty on the inside, but what if you had someone to talk too. Someone who could not only listen but share that burden with you, you wouldn't want that?" Shiloh didn't want anyone to ever feel the emptiness of not having their parents pay attention to them, but he wouldn't want someone dealing with anything alone.

"I—" Isla was cut off when Zurina came walking in.

"Babe, you left your lunch on the counter." Zurina walked in but stopped when she seen Isla. "Oh sorry, am I interrupting?"
