Imani Sung quietly as the lounge took on a Jazz feel. Imani hands found her waist as she swayed softly to the beat of the drums.
She watched as all the lovely couples found their way to the middle of the floor and held each other as they swayed as well.
Friday's were Imani's favorite because that's when they played all the African and Island music. Imani had invited Zurina, Shiloh, Desire, Vina, and Donovan to come dance
Imani finished her song as she saw Zurina and Shiloh walk in followed by Vina, Desire, and Donovan.
"Ok ladies and gents, it's time for Friday's special." Imani said excitedly as everyone in the lounge made their way to the dance floor.
Imani left the stage and walked towards the dance floor where her group was.
"I'm so happy y'all could make it!" Imani said as she gave all of them a hug.
Imani had to be the most single out of all of them, especially when it came to the thruple of the group. Imani wanted to feel like the baddest one out of everyone, or to at least have that type of mentality. She was confident in her abilities when it came to having people want to love on her. But ultimately she was just too shy and conservative to feel that way.
"We happy we could come too, girl you know I just love when places play African music." Vina said as her and Desire hugged up on Donovan.
Vina was the epitome and embodiment of a black queen from Africa. Her family was originally from South Africa, but moved to Nigeria when she turned 13. Vina moved to America when she got a full scholarship to LU. Quincy left Nigeria too when he got a full scholarship to LU, then he got a job as a general surgeon straight out of college, and made a name for himself by the time Vina moved to America.
"Zurina was excited when you asked us to come, so of course I had to follow her here." Shiloh said as he hugged Zurina from behind.
"Where's Ocean?" Zurina asked noticing the talkative little girl wasn't here, and it saddened her.
"Kofi and Storm are babysitting, trying to see what it would be like to be parents." Donovan said laughing.
"Kofi? You better be lucky if Ocean don't make him go crazy with his fat stone head. Concretia headass." Zurina countered as she shook her head.
"Can we dance!?" Desire exclaimed as 'Kainama' by Harmonize, Burna Boy, and Diamond Platnumz played.
"I'm not dancing so that's out," Donovan said as he tried to look unbothered, but you could see how timid he was.
"Bye boy, yes you are and we gon dance with you," Desire said to which Vina agreed wholeheartedly.
Vina stood in front of Donovan and placed his hands on her waist, while Desire stood in front of Vina and placed Vina's hands on her waist. All three of them moved their feet and waist to the music. Shiloh pulled Zurina close to him as her back met his chest and they both vibed together. Now this left Imani all by her lonesome, but she didn't mind.
Imani bent her knees and arch her back a little as she moved her feet to the beat. Allowing her waist to follow as her hands moved in an snake motion.
"I see you babe," Imani heard as Amara copies her moves.
Amara and Imani had sung together plenty of times and flirted with each more times than not.
