All the kids were in Maiya's and Kairo's backyard playing and swimming in the pool while the adults lounged on the patio.

It was the weekend so everyone decided to get together instead of spending the weekend separately.

"Remember the last time we all got together like this?" Maiya asked with a smile.

"Yeah, it was at April's house and Ocean was the only little baby there." Zurina smiled. "Everyone was arguing because of Ocean's fury abilities."

"That may have been the last time y'all know about, but the last time we seen each other we was stealing a diamond and getting shot." Desire said with a pointed stare at Donovan.

"I said I was sorry for that," Donovan looked away while trying to hide his smirk.

"Y'all niggas was grimy for that, had us all worried." Shiloh joked as he eyed Adelei and Rhydian. If there was anything that could surprise Shiloh, it would be a pregnant and married Adelei.

"Had you worried, Kofi was basically growing gray hairs." Storm laughed as Kofi mushed her head.

"Whatever, I'm just a sensitive man." Kofi muttered a damn before going back to watching Pheonyx. He didn't want to let her out of his sight, especially not after what happened to Kaius.

"First of all, who would've thought Adelei would marry Rhydian then be open to having his kids." Kairo asked the question everyone been wanting to say.

"Who would've thought you and Maiya would adopt kids then get married?" Rhydian retorted.

"He got a mouth on him, that's Adelei's man alright." Maiya laughed as Adelei made a face.

"What you mean, I don't have a mouth on me, I'm nice." Adelei turned to Rhydian as to ask if she was nice.

"I don't know who told you that," Reiya said laughing. "You nice to who you wanna be nice too."

"I second that, ever since we was kids she's been this big ass bully." Brandon made a face as he shook his head. It was almost like he could remember all those times Adelei beat up they girls he used to mess with.

"How's the married life treating y'all?" Zurina asked Amara and Imani.

"It's nice, I mean it's hard especially with some people being homophobic, but we doin' us and livin' our best life." Amara shrugged as she tightened her hold on Imani who was sitting on her lap.

"Imagine what people think when I tell them I'm an aromantic." Kayleigh scoffed and Rayven couldn't help but agree. "They totally lose their shit on how a person couldn't like a person romantically."

"Girl, I feel you. People don't understand how I can be an autoromantic." Azaria sighed with an annoyed expression.

"That would explain all the masturbation," Rayven muttered quietly but everyone heard it and laughed.

"I swear I hate y'all negroes," Azaria blinked her eyes real hard. "Don't be outing my damn business, it's self love."

Meanwhile the parents conversed, the kids were now out of the pool and running around in the backyard. Unlike most backyards, it wasn't covered in grass, Maiya and Kairo had gotten marbled stone smoothed down.

River ran pass Pheonyx which caused her to fall down and scrap her knee. She paused for a minute, a dramatic pause too, then she let the tears go and she began to wail. Her voice caused everyone to cover their ears, she wanting to make everyone feel her pain and without even noticing what she was doing...she was.
