||KOFI AZURE
"Papa!" Ocean screamed as tears streamed down her face.
Seeing her father in a coma, unresponsive was really getting to her. Kofi and Simone were having a hard time as well, but they was being strong for their niece. Storm was comforting Desire and Vina who were all over the place.
When they first found Donovan, Desire and Vina was covered in his blood as they, together, drained everyone in the room of their life. They were out of control to say the least and everyone was afraid to get on their bad sides—especially April and the Noble family.
Kofi gently grabbed Ocean trying to comfort her, but she thrashed and screamed for Donovan. Kofi could see her eyes glowing an orange topaz color, she was going to drive everyone in here to madness. Kofi grabbed her despite her efforts to get him off her, and he hugged her tight as she bit into his shoulder.
"Shh, I have you boop, just let me hug you." Kofi whispered in her ear as she released her grip on him and just cried.
"P-Papa," she hiccuped. "He can't die!"
"As long as he has you, I promise he won't die." Kofi was sure of that, Donovan would not leave his life's joy by herself.
Kofi rocked Ocean in his arms as she quieted down, he never seen her act like that and that alone raised some red flags. It could have been Seperation Anxiety, which wouldn't be a big surprise, but he would have to take her to Asani.
"Babe, ima take Desire and Vina home so that they can get themselves together." Storm said as she kissed Kofi lips once before she turned to leave.
In all honesty, Kofi didn't care about Vina and Desire, he cared about his niece and his little brother. Them girls Donovan loves didn't mean a damn thing to Kofi nor did it to Simone. Kofi felt as though it was a little bit of their faults, but he knew he couldn't place blame because they knew it would be dangerous.
"Can I lay with papa?" Ocean asked quietly as she looked up at Kofi.
Kofi nodded his head as he laid her next to Donovan's unmoving body. He watched as she cuddled up against Donovan's body, tears slowly leaving her eyes. Simone refused to come here and see her brother laid up the way he was.
Kofi took a seat across the room and watched Ocean and Donovan. It had been 2 weeks already.
||ADELEI COLEMAN
Adelei watched as Rhydian poured himself a glass of whiskey. The dark orange liquid swished around his glass as he took a savoring sip.
He caught Adelei looking at him, "want some love?"
Adelei looked away with a sheepish smile, "I'll pass love." Adelei mocked his words.
Rhydian hands reached out and grabbed Adelei's hands. "Why did you have me come over if you were only going to stare at me?"
Rayven walked into the room which immediately made Adelei calm. Rayven walked up behind Adelei and hugged her from behind.
"Talk to him A," Rayven gently moved Adelei closer to Rhydian. "As you probably already know, she's not the good with words."
Rayven kisses Adelei's cheek, "I'm going out, there's someone I have to meet up with."
"Be back soon, it's not safe late at night." Adelei slipped a hundred dollar bill into Rayven's hand.
Rayven walked out which left Adelei and Rhydian alone again. Adelei legs started to hurt from standing up, so she motioned for them to enter the living room.
"Rhydian, I'm going to tell you the same thing I told you in Scotland. I'm not ready to love someone let alone stay with them forever. I don't know how to do any of that."
Rhydian pulled Adelei into his lap, he didn't want to push her but he needed to feel her. "I'm not asking you to love me or stay with me forever...just yet. All I'm asking for is that you open your mind to the possibility."
Adelei opened her mouth to shut this whole situation down but Rhydian cut her off. His dark blue eyes glowed softly, which showed how close his wolf was.
"I don't need your heart to thaw out, I need you to clear your mind and keep it open. I'm here to warm your heart."
Adelei watched him as she bit her plump lips softly, after what he just said she couldn't reject him.
"I can keep an open mind," Adelei tried to hide her blush as she buried her face into the crook of his neck.
||RAYVEN OCEAN
Rayven walked into the cafe where her supposed "father" was supposed to be.
She instantly found him in the crowd, she was the spitting image of this man and she lowkey hated that.
"Mekhi?" Rayven asked as she took a seat across from him.
"Yes, hello Rayven." His voice was like velvety chocolate, she instantly knew how he got with her mom.
"Why did your daughter pop up on me at my mother house?" Rayven didn't want to waste any time on chitchat. Why fill the air with nonsense that won't even be remember after they got to the point?
"I didn't send Kayleigh your way, she wanted to know more about the daughter I neglected." At least he seemed to be honest.
"I don't have no problems with her, I barely even know her. My real question is how's your new family?" Rayven didn't understand what man would leave his family, but she knew things happened.
"My family is great, why are you asking me this?"
"I don't know the whole situation but I will find out why my mom turned to drugs after you left her. I have no interest in having you in my life, but I will gladly welcome your daughter." Rayven stood up after she said that. "I sure hope she's not whitewashed," whispered to him before she turned to leave.
||KAYLEIGH OCEAN
Kayleigh had laid on her bed lurking on Rayven's Instagram. She wanted to know more about Rayven's life.
Kayleigh was excited when she found out she had a sister, she'd been alone for most of her life. Her parents were rarely ever home, so she didn't have anyone to talk to and it didn't help that she was home schooled.
To Kayleigh, Rayven's life consisted of a group of friends—18 or so including her. But her life revolves around one girl who name was Adelei. They looked like polar opposites but opposites don't just attract, they understood each other.
"What are you doing?" Kayleigh heard her mom enter her room.
"I'm trying to see who Rayven is as a person, I guess." Kayleigh was only lurking on Rayven's page because she wanted to know how she acted.
Believe it or not, but your social media page tells a lot about you. Just by the pictures you post, the captions you write, and the people you follow.
"Your dad doesn't want you spending too much time with her." Her mother said as she sat at the edge of Kayleigh's bed.
"Why?" Kayleigh was borderline pissed that her dad would try to limit her getting to know her sister.
"He just doesn't," her mother knew the truth but Kayleigh didn't. Kayleigh didn't know anything about her being a Gemini.
Kayleigh's mom wasn't really her mom, and soon Kayleigh would find out the truth. Kayleigh was someone's other half.
