I was currently laying on the beach with my mom. We were having a beach day together since I haven't spent much time with her alone and it's my last day.

I told her everything about Colby and had happened between us. "You know, your father and I kinda went through the same thing." My mom spoke up as we tanned.

"You did?" I looked over at her to see her soaking the sun up. "Yeah, it was back in high school. I thought he liked a girl named Becky Oliver." She told me.

"So, did he like her?" I ask interrupting her. "No, I talked to him about it and turns out she was trying steal him away from me." She explained.

"I ended up fighting her so she never talked to him since." I can't picture my mom fighting anyone.

It's strange to think about. "So, what's the moral of the story?" I asked confused. She looked at me like I was stupid.

"What I'm trying to say is that if you love Colby, don't let anything stand in between you two. Fight for him like how he's fought for you." She was right.

I know the back story of why he did what he did. Her saying that made me realize how much I need to talk to him.

I sat up as I thought about it. I then saw my mom sit up as she looked at the time on her phone. I could hear her sigh causing me to look at her.

"We better get back for dinner before you have to leave tonight." My mom said standing up. We drove to the house to see the two boys watching sports.

"How was the beach?" My dad asked as we walked in. "It was good." I go into my room and change into the shirt and sweats that Jack gave me.

When I walked into the living room, Porter started to groan. "Well hey to you too." I joke as I sit next to him.

"Mom wants us to go to Walmart to pick something up." Porter told me, making me sigh. I groan as I stand up. "You're driving." He agreed as he stood up.

We walk out of the house and get into my brothers car. "You're in charge of the music." He told me while handing me his aux.

The whole way there, we were jamming to music so the car ride wasn't too bad. "So, what did mom want?" I ask when we walk inside.

"I have the list on my phone." He told me as I followed him. "You know, I haven't seen Maggie since I've been here." I tell my brother.

"Yeah, we don't see her much anymore. She's always out with her boyfriend." He explained as I sigh. Why would she ditch everyone for her boyfriend?

I will never understand that. Porter and I actually had a good time at walmart so it made me feel better.

After dinner and everything, I had to pack my bags to fly back tonight. I was nervous to see Colby, and honsetly to see Jack and Finn.

But mostly, Colby. "You almost packed, Venus?" My mom asked coming into my room. I looked at everything and nodded my head.

"We're gonna mis you." She said as I hugged her. "I'm gonna miss you too." I say in her ear. "Fight for Colby." She told me as she pulled me away.

I told her I will when I grabbed all of my stuff. "You ready to rock and roll?" My dad asked walking into my room.

They were all dropping me off at the airport. I sigh as I look around my room, one last time. "Yeah, let's do this." The car ride to the airport wasn't bad.

We had the windows down so I was looking down at the Hawaii sunset. I feel like I've become a new person on this trip.

I've become stronger. And I wanna fight for what I want, just like my mom. But before I realized it, we were at the airport.

"Be safe alright?" My dad said as he hugged me. "Always am." I say as we pull apart. They called for my plane so I look at them.

"Don't stay away for too long. I don't wanna see you in another couple of months." My mom said as I agree. I tell them my goodbyes as I get my things and leave.

I board my plane and sit down. I plug my earbuds in and instantly fall asleep. I slept the whole way home, which I didn't mind.

Since I got back to Los Angles super late, I ended up taking a cab home because I didn't wanna call my friends and be like, yo pick me up.

I should be tired after the jetlag, but I actually feel wide awake. I get to my apartment and put everything away.

I need to talk to Colby. I don't know if he's awake but I sure hope he is. I go into the hallway and go to his front door.

I take a deep breath before knocking a door. I heard a muffled voice for me to come in so I twisted the door knob and go in.

Colby was shirtless on his couch, watching a movie. He looked over at me and smiled. "Hey, you're back." He paused his movie while standing up.

"I am." He come up to me but doesn't try to do anything. "It's late, I'm surprised you're still up." I say starting a conversation up.

He started scratching his neck as he looked down. "Couldn't sleep." I feel like there was something he wasn't telling me.

"Hey, what are you doing tomorrow?" He asked changing the subject. "Work in the morning but I don't know what I'm doing after, why?" He asked.

He just shrugged as I just let it happen. "But how was your trip?" He asked changing the subject, again.

"It was actually really good. It was good seeing my family again." That's when I remembered my conversation with my mom.

I'm gonna fight for Colby.
