Emma's P.O.V
"Jax," the words come out of my mouth as a whisper.
Daniel looks up and stupidly, smirks at Jax.
"Oh hey Jax," he says.
"Daniel," Jax says through gritted teeth.
Daniel grabs my hands and brings me up. We walk to where Jax is.
"Emma and I were just going to the Seven. You want to join?" Daniel asks. I don't recall making plans to the Seven.
"Really? Just going to the Seven? Seems like you were doing something else," Jax says angrily.
"Oh..that," Daniel says remembering the kiss.
"Yea, that," Jax was getting furious. I knew it. This wasn't so good.
"Jax, don't, " I say faintly.
Jax looks at me and his face softens.
"Can I talk to Emma before you leave?"
"Yea, if she wants too of course," Daniel says and I nod in approval.
Daniel stays inside while Jax and I stay outside.
"I am sorry Emma," Jax says.
"Seems like you were one heck of a time with E," I say bitterly.
"No I wasn't. She 'accidentally' fell on me and then she kissed me," Jax says.
A tear falls down my cheek.
"I didn't kiss her," Jax whispers and pulls me closer to him.
"I wouldn't ever," Jax ends off.
"I am also sorry but you also know I wouldn't kiss Daniel," I say.
I feel his warmth radiating on to me. I almost feel safe but then of course, I am reminded of all the things we have been through.
"Let's be 'us' again," Jax says.
"I don't know if we can. We have been through this a little too many times," I say.
"What?" Jax mutters.
"Don't give up on us," Jax says. "I haven't," Jax continues to say.
"I am not sure," I say.
"I love you Emma," Jax hugs me. A real hug. A tight, spine breaking hug and I smile inwardly.
"I like you too much to go on the rollercoaster again," I mutter under my breath but Jax hears me.
As he was about to respond, Daniel calls out for me.
"Emma?" Daniel calls out as he opens the door.
I immediately step away from Jax, his face hardens when he sees Daniel at the door.
"We weren't finished talking," Jax says.
I think "we" were finished entirely.
