Aussie boy chapter 25.

I look around at my surroundings. Australia is so different than L.a. Mom, Nick, and I are wandering the beach. Mom wants to go to a petting zoo while we're here. I don't why, they have the same exact animals back in America. But I don't mind, I love animals.

I walk along a dock while Mom and Nick share a pretzel on a bench. As I'm walking someone stops me by grabbing my shoulders.

I look up at this person, and see a boy about my age with tanner skin than me, his hair is like a golden color, and curly, but not a bad curly, his teeth are straighter than how straight I am, his eyes are blue kinda like the water to my left, and his cheeks are glistening a light red.

"Hey mate, watch where you're walking you could have tripped over the broken wood, and fell in the water." He says, pointing to the piece of plywood sticking out of the water.

"Uh.. Thanks" I whisper.

"Oh wait I know you!" He states before I walk away. I raise my eyebrow at him confused on how he has any idea who I am. "You're Paige Lovato right?" He questions me his Australian accent very obvious. I nod my head slowly, completely confused on how he knows who I am.

But man is this guy cute, not only cute but super nice. Then I remember the last time I had a boyfriend, and squeeze my eyes shut, and I reopen them to see a concern looking boy.

"You alright girly? Sorry if I spooked you, my boyfriend just loves your mom so much and talks about you sometimes and I just recognized you," he apologizes.

"Oh. Well tell your boyfriend I said hi." I mumble as my heart begins to break slowly.

Then the boy starts to erupt into laugher, and now I'm really confused.

"And you're laughing because?" I ask.

"I'm not gay, Paige, I'm straight, and I'm single." He chuckles holding his stomach. Even his laugh is cute. "But I never properly introduced myself, I'm Chuck." He says extending his hand so I can shake it.

"Hi" I giggle, shaking his hand.

"Well Paige, you're a very beautiful girl, and I would love to meet up with you here tonight since I know you aren't a resident here." He smiles.

"That would be lovely. See you later Chuck!" I wave running towards Mom and Nick.

Of course when I reach the two love birds they're making out. I cough loudly to make the two stop.

"Paige," Nick starts causing my attention took towards him. "Who's that boy, and why do you keep looking at him?" Nick wonders squinting at me. I'm looking at him? I look behind me, and see mom smiling, and Nick looking protective.

"Oh that's Chuck!" I gush. I turn around to face Nick and mom so they know my full attention is towards them.

"I don't know about him." Nick mutters rubbing the stubble on his chin.

"Oh he seems like a nice boy." Mom convinces him.

"Remember last time you thought that Ryan dude at the grocery store was a good kid?" Nick explains looking at me like I'm a wild animal. I roll my eyes, and cough in disgust at Nick being overprotective.

"Nick you aren't my dad , I'm 16 and I'm responsible now," I snarl at him.

I watch Nick's eyes fill with hurt, but he blinks it away, and a stern look, I guess you could say, replaced it. Nick sighs and looks towards Demi "Can she talk to this boy?" Demi nods quickly, and claps her hands together.

I smile widely, so Nick can feel like the underdog. "Thanks mom. And we want to meet up here tonight so can you have Max drop me off?" I ask politely, so I don't screw this privilege up.

"Of course pumpkin!" Mom exclaims grabbing my arm ,and linking it with hers. I watch her drag Nick ,up and kiss him ever so lightly on the lips then, she interlocks her fingers with his.

We walk back to the car like this, and I can't help, but smile at how happy I'm getting over some boy in a country I don't even live in. There's one thing for certain. I can't wait for tonight.
