Dad chapter 27.

The doctors pull Paige's gurney away, so they could surgically remove the bullet in her leg. Nick ended up burying his head in my chest, and bawling his eyes out. I would be crying too, but I need to be here for Nick.

"She called me dad." He mumbles staring at his fingers as tears drip down his face. We're now sitting in the waiting room chairs, waiting to be instructed where Paige's room is when she's out of surgery.

"And then they wheeled her away." He says looking up at me tears bundling in his eyes, "It felt like I was going to lose her right after I just felt the love she has for me."

Tears are now forming in my own eyes. I grab Nick's hand, and interlock our fingers. "I want you to know Paige has adored you since day one, and she will till the end of eternity. And she'll be fine I promise," He smiles slightly and kisses my lips for a short time.

Hours later we get showed where Paige's hospital room is. She'll be in here for about 5 days. And out of those 5 days I have 3 concerts.

As we enter her room I see her laying unconscious on the bed, but she looks completely healthy, and her heart rate is perfectly fine. I almost smile at the fact of her being perfectly healthy. But then I remember that Chuck shot her, and become angry.

I look over to Nick who isn't next to my anymore. Now he's at the side of Paige's bed smiling at her, and holding her hand. I feel all the anger go away, and I walk up next to him.

"You're going to be a great dad in the future," I whisper to him as I kiss his lips hardly. I feel Nick's hands wrap around my waist, and I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Eew!" A raspy voice groans in disgust. I smile while kissing Nick and I could feel him smile too. As we pull away I look to see a very impatient Paige sitting up in her bed, scrunching her nose in disgust.

"Hey we've done real worst." I smirk poking her side.

I watch Paige gag in disgust and squeeze her eyes shut. "I know I've seen it before."

I look over to Nick's face who flushes with red from embarrassment. "Yea.." He gulps scratching the back of his neck.

"So Nick will be here with you while I'm performing. Is that alright?" I ask Paige as I braid her blonde hair that has very faded pink highlights.

"That's perfect!" She exclaims. "But mom.." Paige starts.

"Mhmm?"

"Does he even like me." She finishes.

"Paige he cried because you called him dad, and he thought he was gonna lose you." I chuckle tying the braid with a ponytail.

"I guess I cried." Nick smiles as he leans on the doorframe. I watch Nick walk over to Paige's hospital bed, and hugs her tightly, and she hugs him right back. I of course take a picture of this adorable moment, and post it on Twitter.

I watch the two of them bond together, and Paige of course wants to take a bazillion selfies even though she just got out of surgery. I really do love these two people.
