loren's pov
tuesday
i woke up to unpleasant sound of my alarm ringing in my ear. it made me want to throw my phone across the room but that phone is expensive and we broke. big sigh.
i made an effort in my outfit today going for a girly look. i wore a vibrant red spaghetti strapped top and a paired it with grey trousers. i put on my black air forces and set off to my car. the radio came on and madison beer started playing. an instagram influencer turned singer, i can always dream.
i made it to school early meeting the gang at arya's locker. arya came soon after radiating energy as she walked with donuts in her hand. mmmmm donuts.
"you don't have to tell me i know i'm the best friend ever." arya smiled handing us all a donut. a nutella filled donut i'll add. arya wants me to get diabetes i swear.
i finished my donut and pulled arya and aurelia aside.
"i need to tell you guys something in english. you can't say no." i said nervously knowing they were going to judge me so hard for what i was going to tell them.

the day went slow and was boring until i had english period three with the whole gang. the teacher told us we were now working on our independent projects. meaning we can chill out this lesson maybe play a bit of club penguin and then rush to do the whole project the night before it's due date. sounds good to me.
i tapped aurelia to get her attention, arya and i were already in conversation. i had to confess now.
"i might have made a drunken mistake, but if i'm going down, so are you guys," i started.
"what is it?" arya shrugged.
"christmas break in la?" i smiled trying to make light of the situation. their faces lit up and they screamed yes.
"one catch... chase invited me to an event and you guys are coming with me." arya looked pissed.
"chase hudson, what the fuck loren?" arya spat.
"LIL HUDDY!" aurelia screamed getting the attention of the whole class. at least one of them were happy about this.
"guys he's not that bad," i said, maybe that was insensitive. it made me think of everything he's done to our group. maybe i shouldn't of agreed to this.
"make sure these are finished and ready to present." for once a teacher did something good, got us out of this awkward conversation.
we made our way to the cafeteria for lunch. arya going to grab mac and cheese, i know rebecca cooks a mean mac and cheese but my mom made me lunch. i sighed. maybe one day i can have rebecca's food.
the boys joined us and the topic of conversation was our english presentations. they were getting more stressed by the second. we were interrupted by my phone ringing.
chase hudson.
"sorry guys, i have to take this." i spoke.
"hey loren, i need to confirm if you're coming to the tour, your flights will be on the 17th of december," chase spoke.
"yeah me and the girls are excited to come," i lied, arya was definitely not excited.
"great, you'll stay with us in our air bnb. i'll message you more details."
"thank you so much, i can't wait to see you." why did i say that. i'm digging myself a big hole.
"i can't wait to see you either." chase replied. is it too late to back out?
i looked at mattia and he was mad. he didn't know did he? he pulled me out of the canteen. it was a similar feeling to when he dragged me off shannon. i felt like i was in the wrong.
"why is he ringing you?" mattia was angry.
"i'm going to la to do some surprise meets on their tour," i said nervously.
"i can't believe you right now,"
"mattia please, it's good for pr," i tried to make light of the situation.
"he has bad intentions, i won't be there to look out for you,"
"do you trust me?" i asked not sure of the response i was going to get.
"yes."
"then you have nothing to worry about okay?" i pulled him into an embrace, he was reluctant at first, he had every right to be.
we made our way back to the table, the tension was still present.
"you excited for cheerleading loren?" arya asked.
"shit i forgot my outfit. i have a lesson last!" i panicked.
"i'll get it," mattia stood up as if he was going to storm off.
"do you know where the key-"
"under the roses, i know." he cut me off and walked out of the cafeteria.
cheer practice was chill for today. we all introduced ourselves and the seniors filled us in with what our duties would be. mainly going to sports games with the teams and performing there and also doing pep rallies. it did make me very excited and my school spirit definitely increased.
after arya dropped me off home chase forwarded the flights and air bnb details. we had only a week to go until our trip and i was excited i have never been to la before.
i forwarded the details to the girls. arya was not thrilled, i felt bad but she agreed to go so i didn't know how i was supposed to make the situation better. i made an early start on some homework for the rest of the night, making sure i finished my english presentation.
