Everywhere was light.
One minute there was pain and suddenly there was only light.
It was blinding and I made me want to cover my eyes.
But my hands were still tied.

And who stepped out of the light made me forgot about my pain.

It was Celaena but at the same time it wasn't.
She looked beautiful.
Not that she hadn't before but now it was something completely different.
She glowed.
No.
She was the light.

And suddenly her ears were different.
She was Fae.

How could she have glamoured herself like that?
How could we not have sensed it?

She didn't give me time to process everything as she leaped forward.

She reached for the man closest to her hardly even giving him time to grab his sword.
As his neck snapped she took his sword and turned to the other men.

One man after another died.
They screamed but she didn't stop.
She was like a storm not even able to stop.
To control herself.
Not that she wanted to.

She smiled as she killed the last men still standing.
They didn't even stand a chance.

And then there was only the woman left.
I didn't know who she was but I knew what she was.
She was a high priestess.
Just like Ianthe.
She even wore the same stone on her head.

I hated all of them.
They were fanatics and believed they were something better.
Believed that they could do anything they wanted to.

„Now it's only you and me. No hiding behind your men",said Celaena as she came closer and closer to the high priestess, covered in her men's blood.

„I'll have to admit this was impressive but I fear you won't be able to do the same to me. You may have forgotten but I can kill you with one thought."

„Oh I would like to see you try."

And then suddenly they where all over each other.

Celaena was highly trained but the high priestess had the advantage of fire magic on her side.
Fire was strong magic.
Hard to control and lethal.

But Celaena dodged, jumped and moved like she knew it.
Like she knew everything that was going to happen before it even happened.
Like she hadn't only seen it but had fought against it.

I wanted to help.
Though it didn't really seem like Celaena needed my help.
But I couldn't get up.
My back hurt.
And my ankles were swollen.
So I just sat there watching them.

And when a wall of fire encircled Celaena and buried her screams I could only sit there.
