Amira's Sunset

When Nadine was done telling the story, Husky asked “ So, what does all that have to do with why we're here?” “ Well, you know how the Dark King's soul is still out there,wandering?” Nadine answered. “ Yeah.” “ Well, he apparently found a new body to 'live' in. He took control of the body, and is now setting up a new army. He also stole the two crystals again. We don't know who the body he took control of used to be, but-”
“ It was my dad.” Amira said. They all turned to look at her. “ The new Dark King is.... Your dad?” Nadine asked hesitantly. “ Yes.” Amira looked close to tears.

“ It was a while ago, a little bit before I met Nadine. I was around 9 years old, and I was still on Draconia, my home planet. Me and my dad were outside together, watching the sunset on top of a tall tree, like we did every sunset. In fact, we would stay until it was pitch black. My dad told me about how there were always lost family members up in the sky, in the constellations. We talked about how it would be weird of they all suddenly came flying down, out of the stars.That's when it happened.” She paused for a second, then continued.

“ There was a ball of darkness that seemed to fly down from the sky with a vengeance. It swirled around in the sky for a moment, then came crashing down on my dad.” She started choking up, but continued anyways. “ There was a flash of pure darkness, and then I saw a black dragon in place of my dad. The black dragon was dark as the night sky around him, and had cold, glowing, pupil-less, eyes. The dragon laughed cruelly, said something about having a newer, stronger body, and flew away.” She started tearing up, but still continued somehow.

“ My dad was some of the only family I had left, and now he was gone. Without anyone to take care of me, I gathered food, money, and clothes. I traveled, looking for my cousin's house. I met some other dragons who were also traveling. Those dragons were Anna, Nadine, and Jada. We decided to all travel together, and just find a nice house to settle in. After a while, we found an abandoned house to live in. We lived there for a couple years.” Amira was actually crying now. The others looked stunned. “ Is that why you stay up in the tree?” Anna asked. Amira nodded. After wiping away the last of her tears, Amira sat down on one of the couches.“ I stay up there to honor my dad.” she said. After a pause, Sky said “ I'm sorry you lost your dad.” “ No, its OK. I'm fine.” Amira responded. After an awkward moment of silence, Jada said “ To answer your question about why you're here, its because the Light Queen is also setting up an army. An army of gamers. When she found out about the Dark King's new body and army, she knew she had to fight back. She gathered all the gamers she could find, and started training them. Why she chose gamers, no one knew. She sent Draconians to many planets, including Earth. The Draconians who were dropped off on Earth were to look for gamers on Earth. When they found gamers, they would report it to the queen. The Dark King is trying to kill the gamers before they get to the Light Queen.”

“ So that's why all those weird shadow dragons attacked us.” MU said. “ Right.” Jada responded. “ And after the Draconians reported the gamers to the queen, the Draconians would make sure the gamers were safe in specialized houses, like this one.” “ And that's why we're here.” Deadlox said. “ Exactly. After the gamers were safe, the Draconians would fly them over to Moon Base, where they would stop and rest for a bit, then move as a large unit to Draconia when other groups came.”

“ So now, we're going to Moon Base” Anna said. “ Wait, so are we actually going to the moon, or is it just called Moon Base?” Jason asked. “ We're actually going to the moon.” Anna replied. “ How are you going to fly us to the moon?” Husky asked “ We wouldn't be able to breath.” 
“ That's why there are chemicals to help you breath in space.” Nadine said, going into the kitchen. “ We should be able to get going to the moon by midnight.” Amira said, getting of the couch. The rest followed into the kitchen, getting ready to go to the moon.
