Draconian

Almost There

(3rd person P.O.V, back at the ship)
Group 24AX, except for Jason and Jada, who decided to paste themselves to the windows, was playing Halo with a simulator they had found hidden under a certain tile in the computer room. The simulator wasn't like the Oculus Rift, it actually teleported you into the game. Of course, you could come out whenever you wanted, since it was voice activated.
Amira P.O.V: I was ducking behind a rock, attempting to snipe Anna but failing. Poopsicles, I'm out of ammo. I thought as I ran out from behind the rock at full speed. “PLEASE NO! PLEASE NO!” I shouted as I ran around the map like a chicken with its head cut off.  I was on my last life, and thought I was doomed to lose this round until I found a conveniently placed turret. I quickly ripped it off its mount, and started shooting Anna. She got a lucky headshot on me just before she died. The round ended in yet another tie, and as we waited for the round to restart, I said to Anna “You know, if you hadn't gotten lucky there, I would've won.” She smirked, and said “I got that headshot on purpose, you know.”
“Sure you did.” The countdown ended, and we were placed right back on the map. It was team battle this time, and it was girls vs. boys.
“Oh, come on! The guys have, like, twice the players we do!” I complained. But the Halo AI was smart, and knew how to make up for the loss of team members on the girls' side. The girls had better weapons than the guys, who only had standard weapons.
“I don't think I mind too much.” Nadine said as she eyed the Fuel Rod cannon through her visor that  spawned in her hands. Oh yeah, we all had full body Halo armor on. Me, Nadine, Anna, Elizabeth, and Sherieff were all human characters, in order to even the playing field. Our armor was the same color or colors as our scales in real life. Sky's armor was, of course, butter yellow, and Husky chose dark green, and Deadlox chose a fiery red.
  The round started, and the girls charged forward with their slightly overpowered weapons. For the next few minutes, the round was at a stalemate, since our team had good weapons, but the guys had more teammates. Elizabeth soon tilted the round in the girls' favor when she started sniping from a hidden place. However, the males soon caught up as Sherieff started sniping, too. Eventually, the round was again at a stalemate. The round ended when time ran out, and our team ended up with one more kill than the guys.
“OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! YOU JUST GOT OWNED!!!!” My team, including me, shouted in unison. Before the guys could retaliate, we were all teleported back to the computer room.When we got there, we saw Joe holding up the plug for the simulator. “I've been trying to get a hold of you for hours,and you didn't respond, so I had to unplug the simulator. We're getting close to the Draconian base, and we need to save our electricity in case the Darkness decides to attack again. And, its almost midnight. You guys should really get some sleep.” Joe said, setting the plug on top of a computer. The group, dazed from being teleported back to the computer room, went to sleep after dragging Jada and Jason away from the window. Joe had to help this time, since Jada and Jason decided to team up.
 
  The group eventually went to sleep, including Joe, who turned on the auto-pilot and dozed off in his chair.
