Draconian

On Patrol

(3rd person P.O.V, an timeskip to day.)

  All of group 24AX was gathered at a table in the loud and crowded mess hall, eating some breakfast and talking. The room was long and low, made out of some kind of milky-white stone. It was bare, with only the rough, gray stone tables for decoration. There was a small kitchen in the back, filled with bustling chefs, who were Draconian, and some other species.

“Why are there other aliens? I thought this only concerned Draconians.” Bajan asked, looking at the busy chefs.
“ Since the Darkness King tried to take over the entire multi-verse, all the sentient species had to team up with us Draconians. Of course, this means there are other species in the Darkness army, too. The Draconian Base is just large enough to hold all of them.” Amira answered, glancing at a table of bird-like creatures. 
“ And why haven't humans ever figured out about all of this stuff?” Jerome asked. “Cause it sounds like the war was pretty big.”
“ Since Earth is actually right next to the edge of this universe, the Darkness didn't ever have a chance to get to it. Either that or, Earth just wasn't discovered by the Darkness army yet. However, the Darkness obviously knows about Earth now. I don't think the people on Earth really notice them, though.” Nadine answered. After talking a little more, the group finished their breakfast. As they were about to walk out of the room,  a dragon with fire red scales like Anna and metallic gray spikes on his back marched up to group 24AX, and asked them if they were group 24AX. Jada answered yes, and the dragon said “ You guys are due for patrol. It seems as if your group is big enough to cover the entire southern quadrant!”  The dragon then gave them a sheet of grid paper, with a big circle in the middle, and 12 X's along the southern end of the circle. The dragon told the group that the paper showed them their posts. The dragon saluted, and left.
 

  The group, now at their posts, which were a bit far away from Draconia, were on the lookout for Darkness dragons. Since the youtubers couldn't fly, they just sat on the backs of the dragon half of group 24AX. Each person had a holographic communication watch, or an HC watch. It was apparently common technology. For a couple hours, the group didn't see anything suspicious. Then, a flicker of movement caught Jason's eyes, and he told Jada, who then told the rest of the group. On her HC watch, Jada also told the rest of the people guarding the other parts of Draconia. A metallic rasp could be heard all around Draconia as dragons, humans, and other species got out their weapons, ready for battle. There was another flicker of movement, and a split-second later, dozens of Darkness dragons poured out from behind a white space rock! The Darkness dragons charged group 24AX, and a battle ensued.
 A Darkness dragon with some sort of bear with black fur on its back charged Amira with a sword, but she parried the first blow. Sky fought the bear creature on her back as Amira fought the Darkness dragon. Jada and Jason were fighting some archers, who were similar in stature to the bear creature. Meanwhile, Nadine, Husky, Deadlox, and Anna fought four Darkness dragons. The other four members of group 24AX fought a group of what appeared to be birds with lizard heads. All the enemies had the signature black fur or scales and yellow glowing eyes of the Darkness. From what the other guards said on the HC watches, they were experiencing the same problem. Shouts and orders echoed through space as they fought. After killing yet another dragon, Amira shouted over the sounds of battle, “ WE NEED TO CALL FOR BACKUP! THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THEM!” Amira retreated, and used her HC watch to call for backup. A few minutes later, a big group of dragons and other species flew out into space, and joined the patrols in battle.
 After a few hours of what seemed to be endless fighting, there were only a few Darkness dragons left, and two of the bird creatures. Before they could kill the last of the attack group, the Darkness fled. The backup group went back to Draconia, and new guards came for their shift. Group 24AX and the other guards who fought flew back down to Draconia, and from there to the Draconian base.There, they bathed, and recovered from the battle in their rooms.
