Dangit, Nick!

Layla's P.O.V:
I was in a raging battlefield, explosions bursting before my eyes. It was utter chaos, dragons and many other things fighting. My muscles felt like they were on fire, and I was being pushed to my physical limits. I was almost blinded by pain. However, amongst the chaos, one thing in particular caught my attention. I saw a familiar Darkness dragon jumping in front of what I recognized to be a female Fire dragon from the Light army.  A huge explosion enveloped the Darkness dragon, and before his face was hidden by the flames, I recognized the Darkness dragon. It was Gyrio. Before I could do anything, my brother roared a roar of agony. But not just agony. There was something else hidden in the roar, but I couldn't place what. With his last roar, Gyrio disintegrated into light. He's gone..... I thought. “NOOOOOOO!”
                                                                          
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I woke up to see a concerned Mabel, and several other maids.
“Layla, this is the second time this happened. Are you sure you don't want to talk about this to someone?” Mabel asked, concern and worry in her eyes. I shook my head no, then said “ I'm fine, Mabel. It's just that I keep having this dream....” I shook my head again to try and clear my mind, then told Mabel and the other maids that they could leave. The maids reluctantly left, and I walked over to my bathroom. I washed my face in the stainless steel sink, then dried it off with a small, lavender towel with a pink flower pattern on it. I ambled out of the bathroom, and started heading towards Mission Control, when I realized it was Saturday. My day off! I practically flew back to my room, and turned on the computer. I was in the middle of reading a rage comic on Reddit when a Darkness dragon came through my door, and called me over. I turned off the computer, and went over to her. She led me out of my room, and said “Sorry to disturb you on your day off, Layla, but one of our captains needs some help.” I sighed, and asked “ Don't we have any spare soldiers?”
“No, they're all either on a mission or guarding the castle. Go out to the Western Tower, and around ten dragons and five Avians will be there, waiting for you. Then, head to the Southern Tower, and you'll find Captain Nick.”
“Alright, thanks.” I murmured grumpily, then I went to the Western Tower to follow her orders.

  When I arrived at the Western Tower, which was one of the larger towers outside of the Darkness castle, I saw ten dragons, and five birds as big as the dragons. The only other things separating an Avian from a normal bird on Earth was that Avians were more intelligent, and they had two pairs of wings. It's weird that Avians look like Earthen birds.... I thought as I counted again to make sure there were a total of fifteen troops.
“Alright, follow me. Captain Nick, whoever he is, needs help, and I was the only person available, so here I am. I'm sure you all want to go back to whatever you do in your freetime, so let's make this quick, 'cause I want to enjoy my day off. Understood?” The troops nodded in response, and we all took off into space, going to the Southern Tower.

As soon as I got there, I face-clawed. There was a huge, gaping hole in the center of the Southern Tower, and I saw a Darkness dragon with an iron helmet, trying to get a large group of about twenty dragons, and a few other species I couldn't identify, under control. I flew over to the dragon with the iron helmet, and demanded to know why there was a huge hole in the middle of the Southern Tower.
“ Well, I, ummm....” The dragon looked a little young, possibly still sixteen.
“ UM IS NOT AN ANSWER!” I was practically roaring at him. Obviously more than a little frightened, the dragon quickly said “ I accidentally exploded a bomb that was in an attacking Light Army soldier's claws when I killed him!” I calmed down a little, then asked “ So, the bomb exploded and made a hole in the wall. Did it at least kill the attacking group of soldiers?” The small dragon nodded, and I suddenly felt a little guilty. The poor kid is trying his best.... I thought, then I apologized. The young dragon, still somewhat scared, introduced himself as Nick. So he's Captain Nick. I told him who I was, and he nodded. I looked over at the group of dragons and other species, then asked “ Did the bomb scare and scatter the troops?”  Nick nodded, then I asked him if he needed some help gathering the soldiers. He smiled, then said “ Yeah, that would be cool of you.” I gathered up all the air I could muster into my lungs, then let out a huge “ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!”  The soldiers froze in their places, then flew as fast as they could to me and Captain Nick. The young dragon looked at me with a look of pure astonishment and amazement. I smiled, waved goodbye, and flew back to the Western Tower with my squadron of soldiers.
 
When I got back to the tower, I told the troops they could leave, then I went over to Mission Control. I asked if some construction workers could be sent to the Southern Tower, and the dragon I asked said that yes, they could. I then made a beeline for my room, turned on my Xbox, and settled down for some Minecraft.
