Taking Flight

3rd person P.O.V : The girls were preparing to go to the moon. Amira was mixing a strange, thick liquid in a bowl that kept on changing colors, from green to blue to red to yellow and then back again. Anna was making food for the trip, and Nadine and Jada were nowhere to be seen. “What's that?” Sky asked Amira. “ It's a chemical that will let you breath in space. It'll also keep you from, you know, exploding.” Amira replied, adding a plant that looked like a clover into the liquid, making a tiny explosion in the bowl. Looking pleased with herself, Amira set the bowl on the table. “ Now, you have to careful around the bowl while the chemicals are settling.” Amira said, putting a lid on the bowl.  “ Why? Will it explode?” Sky asked. “ Yeah, and it'll destroy the house. So, that's why you don't touch it.” she replied, carefully fixing the lid's position so it fit exactly over the bowl. The bowl started to glow faintly, the liquid inside bubbling.

Anna's P.O.V:  I chuckled when Sky took a step back from the bowl when Amira told him it would explode. The explosion probably wouldn't even explode the bowl, much less the house. I considered telling him that it wouldn't explode, but it was too funny. When I was done packing the food, Nadine and Jada came into the kitchen looking tired. “ The queen says we can leave now.” Jada said. “ The chemicals are still settling. We have to wait.” Amira said, glancing at the bowl.

3rd person P.O.V:So, we just sit here for the next couple hours?” Anna said. “ We can train. Oh yeah, that reminds me....” Amira went into the living room for a second, then came out with a sword, a huge hammer, a bow and a spear. She set them on the table, and told the youtubers “ Pick. You're going to need them.” They looked surprised.“ You're giving us weapons?” Sky asked. “ To actually use?” “ Of course you're gonna use them. How else are you supposed fight a war?” Nadine replied. “ Don't you have, like, a gun or something?” “ Of course we have guns. But the queen said to give you these, so we're giving them to you.” The youtubers were stunned, but picked the weapons anyway.

Deadlox picked first. He picked the hammer, and picked it up easily, it was so light. “ It's so light!” he exclaimed, weighing it in his hand. Amira smiled. “It's supposed to be. Another one of-” “ Ameena's great inventions. Yes, Amira, we know. You say that about all her inventions.” Nadine said, rolling her eyes. “ That's because they're all so awesome!” Nadine rolled her eyes again. MU picked next. He picked the bow, and it was also surprisingly light. “ Where are the arrows?” he asked after picking it up. “ They're magic. Pretend like you're going to shoot one.” Jada said, making the motion with her claws. Jason pretended he was notching an arrow, and with an almost silent ‘poof ’, an arrow appeared in his hand.“Cool!” He tried notching another one, and another arrow poofed out of thin air. “ Another one of-” Nadine covered Amira's mouth before she could finish. Husky picked after Jason, and picked the spear. Again, it was surprisingly light.“ Is the spear magic, too?” he asked, turning it. “ It's not magic, but it has some perks. Push the buttons on the side of it.” Anna said, pointing to the buttons with her talon. There were four buttons, each with a number on it. Husky pushed the one with the number 3 on it, and two more spear heads grew from the stick of the spear. “ Sweet!” “ Just push the button again, and it'll go back to normal.” Jada said. Amira opened he mouth to say something, but looked at Nadine and closed it. Sky picked last, and got the sword. It, like the rest, was light. “ The sword's not magic, but it's  really powerful in battle.” Amira said. “ Awesome!” Sky said, swinging it a little.
“ Are you sure you want to keep your weapons? You won't be able to trade them back.” Amira warned. The youtubers hesitated, then agreed.   “ Good. Now, you just have to learn how to use them. Come to the backyard.” Amira said. They all went into the backyard, and trained until night fell. Amira was the only one to fly to the top of the tree to watch sunset. After it was around 11:10, they went back inside. Amira went to the bowl with the chemical inside it, which was now glowing white, and the others rested on the couch in the living room. After they rested for around 10 minutes, Amira came back with 4 beakers full of the strange liquid. She gave them to the youtubers, and said “ Drink up.” They drank it, and got up. “ Fruity, with a weird aftertaste.” Sky observed. “ We should get going now. It's almost midnight, and the longer it takes us to get to Moon Base, the more Mrs.Shelby will nag us.” Amira said, already going out of the living room. The rest went outside, and made the last preparations to go to the moon. 

 “ Alright. All the bags are almost packed up. Go ahead and get on my back.” Amira told Sky. “ Are you sure you can fly all the way to the moon with me on your back?” Sky asked. “ Positive. Now, come on.” Amira said, lowering herself. Sky clambered on, using her scales as footing. When he was on, Amira said “ Hold on tight to my spike.” Sky got a good grip, and as soon as he did, Amira flew up to the skies. After rising around 60 feet off the ground, she stopped and hovered in the sky, flapping her wings to stay aloft. “ Doesn't this feel awesome?” she asked Sky, who was hanging on to her spike for dear life. After a few seconds of hovering, Amira flew around the house a few times until Sky got used to flying.  “ It does feel awesome. ”  “ Good. Now that you've gotten used to flying, I can take a little break.” Amira flew to the roof of the house, and perched there. The others were just finishing packing the bags, and MU was getting on to Jada's back. “ I have an idea....” She whispered her idea to Sky, and he grinned. She crept down to the very edge of the roof, and whispered a countdown. “ Three....Two....ONE!” Amira leaped of the roof, while her and Sky yelled “ SKY ATTACK!” They divebombed right into the middle of the group. “ WHAT THE HECK!?” Anna exclaimed, getting out of the way. As the others recovered from the shock, Amira and Sky were dying of laughter. “ You should've seen the look on your faces! AHAHAHAHAHA!” Amira said. After they stopped laughing, Anna looked very, VERY unamused. “ Why would you do that?” “ For the LOL'S” Sky replied. Anna rolled her eyes, and packed the last bag.

“Finally! I thought that would take forever.” she said. MU was on Jada's back, Husky was on Nadine's back, and Anna was still trying to get Deadlox on to hers. After a while, she got impatient and picked Ty up by the neck of his T-shirt with her mouth and put him on her back. Before he could protest or get back off, she flew into the air. The rest of the dragons followed, and started their to journey to Moon Base.
