= Ken's POV =
They say when you meet your destiny, it could be like in those stereotypical love stories where you met them romantically...
For me, I've dreamed of meeting mine at the beach and coincidently as I just happen to pass by, I met this girl.
Well,
I'm not sure she's the one.
Why?
Well, first off...
She attacked me by her umbrella!
My name is Kentaro Oda.
And let me tell you why she's pissed.
I was walking around the beaches of Tokyo to take pictures of sceneries I could use as inspiration for my next novel.
I'm 26 years old. Has black hair, brown eyes, semi pale skin and wears a blue track suit I got as a present from a school reunion party (long story)
And yes, I'm a writer.
I don't intend to boast but I'm actually one of the best selling writer under the pen name, Bakageko-san.
"So, you're at the beach, right now?" Menma-san asked through the phone.
"Yup." I answered. "Gotta get those inspiration for my next story by fall."
Menma Agaraki is the editor handling me from the publishing company I am affiliated with.
"Okay, just try to be careful this time." He jokingly suggested.
"I'm literally alone here on the beach." I cheerfully rebate. "What possible incident could happen?"
"Okay, wish I was also there to unwind but I need to finish twenty-four deadlines." He said.
"Don't worry, I got this." I said.
"Well, call you later."
"Thank you for your hardwork, bye!" I cut the call.
I took deep breath and closed my eyes to feel the calm beach. It's so relaxing. I took out my digital camera to take pictures of different corners of the beach.
"This place is beautiful." I said "Right, let's take a panoramic photo."
And then I saw from afar a person. A woman, perhaps.
She was wearing a pink kimono, I think and was holding an umbrella.
I cancelled the panoramic mode and used my camera to zoom in to see who it is.
A girl.
She has a good standing posture. Elegant and very lady like.
She looks like a teenager. Here pink kimono has red flowers patterned everywhere. Her pigtail-tied hair is black and shiny. Her face is beautiful as if she's part of an idol group or a young actress. But she looks a bit angry.
She was staring at the sea as if she like to give it a lecture.
Part of me is saying to go the other way and the other part of me is saying this is a good scene, I should take a photo.
She then appears to murmuring something.
Okay, I should go because this might not be good.
Before I could put down my phone. She suddenly closed her umbrella and shouted. "NO MORE!!! I WON'T BE SOME STUPID SCAPEGOAT!!!"
Eh? Scapegoat?
Suddenly, she saw me. I was still holding the camera, and I saw her face became surprised and then morped into anger. She picked up her umbrella.
I was frozen in fear. As if she was one of those villains from story about to put out a rage.
Her lady-like posture now became a an angry-athlete-about-to-charge-at-me-like posture.
She was on her kimono but she dashed as fast as a cheetah.
In just a few seconds, she's around four meters near me. She pulled out her umbrella like a kendo stick and charged at me.
I immediately dodged at the second but tripped. My face dug into the sand.
"HEY YOU!" The girl bellowed. "How dare you take a video of me!"
Video?
"No you're mistaking." I stood shakingly from the sand. "I was taking a picture."
Up close, she's kinda cute. She has beautiful eyes but they're glaring at me. She has cute puffy cheeks but they look about to spout harsh words. She's short and petite but looks powerful as if she can talk me down a sumo wrestler with one push.
"You took my picture?" She pointed her umbrella on my nose.
"No! I said taking not taken!" I said but she gave me an I'll-kill-you look. "I mean forgive me for taking your picture!"
She raised her umbrella again getting ready to strike.
"Wait!" I said desperately. "Umm.."
"Go to sleep now!" She swung her umbrella.
"LET ME PROPOSE TO YOU!" I said upon reflex.
She quickly stopped a few inch from my head.
"What do you mean propose to me?" She asked.
Wait. What the? Did I said that?
"Umm.." I looked at the sea. "Look a dolphin."
"Where?"
"Over there!" I pointed afar into the sea.
She gave me a puzzled look for a second and then stared at the waves.
Now's my chance!
"I don't see anything you jerk- hey come back here!" she demanded.
I ran for my life.
A few minutes ago, what I said was What possible incident could happen?
Well it was a life threatening incident I hope I won't see her ever again.
And....
I was wrong!
