= Ken's POV =

After running away, I've finally reached a residential tower. I'm at my apartment door.

Room 301

I'm soaked by my own sweat and shaking like a chihuahua. I reached for my keys and shakingly insert it to the lock.

I hope I would never see that girl again. I thought in my head.

"HEY!" a voice behind me rang to my ear.

"EEEKKK!" I screamed (to be clear, not like a girl!)

"Forgive me!" I said by impulse. "I won't-"

I stopped talking because the voice turned out to be Yui's.

Yui Sakura, an accountant about my age. She has neatly tied black hair. She wears large round glasses over her dark honey eyes.

"Forgive you for what?" She asked. "You look weirder than usual."

She is also a resident of this place living at Room 302.

"Uhh.. nothing." I said.

"Lemme guess, you got scolded by your boss?" She asked. "You slacked on work again!"

She always thought I'm a lazy photographer of some newspaper.

Since I'm using a Bakageko-san as my pen name, nobody knows I'm a writer. Well except for Menma-san and the employees from the publishing company.

"Uhh.. yeah, sort of." I manage to say. "Well good night now."

I finally opened the door as I was to enter my flat-

"Oh, one more thing..." she stopped me. "You screamed like a girl."

"I did not!" I clarified.

"Good night!" She smirked and went to her flat.

She always a habit of making fun of me.

Anyway, I went in my flat.

"I'm back." I said as if someone would greet me Welcome back.

I took off my shoes and put on my indoor slippers. I've put my backpack on the sofa and sat beside it.

"I think my life was shorten." I looked up the ceiling.

I stood up and went to the kitchen to get a canned beer from the fridge. I went to the balcony and staired at the dark sky.

Finally some peace and quiet.

I looked down at the street and for a second, I saw a silhouette of a person from afar and shined it's torchlight directly to me. When the light died, the silhouette was gone.

What was that?

I chugged down my beer. I then went for a warm bath, put on my pajamas and went to bed.

I guess I was really drained coz I immediately drifted to slumber.

I had a dream.

I was standing on stage by the podium giving my speech for my Hall of Fame Award.

"I would like to thank everyone!" I said proudly.

"What about me?" A girl in her kimono stood up in the audience. "Don't you dare forget about me, you jerk!"

It's her from the beach!

She took out her umbrella and leapt towards me and shattered the podium.

"UNFORGIVABLE!" She again stood up and charged at me.

Because of fear, I dove out of the stage.

Oof!

I am now awake. Well because I fell out of bed.

Memo to self, avoid diving in dreams and nightmares.

I looked at my clock. It was already 8:30am!

I was about to go to the kitchen to make breakfast then suddenly...

Ding dong!

Somebody is at the door.

I peeked through the door's eyepiece to see who it is.

I see no one.

It could be Yui pranking me but she's probably at work already by this time.

Maybe it was my imagination. I thought.

I was about to return to my kitchen when-

Ding Dong!

It rang again. This time I opened the door.

"Okay, please stop pranking me Yui-" I stopped immediately.

In front of me is a pig-tailed girl wearing a sunset orange kimono with green leaf patterns. She was kneeling Japanese-style. She was looking down as if she was giving a respectful bow. Behind her are two men in black suit, both were also kneeling and bowing. Between the two men is a seven layered bento box wrapped with a blue cloth.

"Good morning, Kentaro-sama." The kimono girl said. "I'm to deliver your breakfast."

She raised her head and wouldn't you know!

This must be my unluckiest week!

The kimono girl stood up.

"I'm also here to talk about our engagement." She said cheerfully.

Sweat suddenly dripped over my neck.

"Forgive me because I don't understand." I managed to reply. "You may had the wrong address."

I quickly shut the door and double- no, actually triple locked the door.

What the hell is she doing here! Did she followed me? What does she meant by our engagement?

I tried to clear my mind and ran for the phone to call for the police!

Crash!

The door flew past me. I mean literally my flat's door flew past me!

"You know it's rude to slam a door with brute force in front of a lady!" She stepped inside.

"Ah, isn't it rude to destroy someone's door and step inside uninvited?" I wished I never said that.

She gave me a glare and puffed her cheeks which I find cute- uh, I meant scary.

"Sorry." I said in a low volume.

"Now then." She approached me close enough to kiss me or give me a painful headbutt. "Let's talk."

Well, I have no choice but to talk to her or my life will end.
