Sophia's Point of View

I opened my eyes and groaned. The hangover headache had settled in nicely in the front of my brain and I wanted nothing more than to bury my head in the blankets and sleep for a week. However, on a day like today, that wasn't an option. I sat up and put my head in my hands as everything from the night before came flooding back.

"Too bad I couldn't have a do over..."

I sighed as I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail and then made my way out into the clubhouse to see who was up. The only person at the bar was Coco. He was drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette, apparently without a care in the world. I made my way over to him and sat down beside him.

"Good morning," I said cheerfully, which was the complete opposite of how I really felt.

He turned his head to look at me, a scowl quickly spreading across his face.

"Or not..." I said with a laugh, "what's wrong with you this morning?"

"Nothing..." Coco answered, "I just don't like that Bishop and Hank had the nerve to ask you to do this today. It pisses me off. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Actually...I wanted to talk to you about that," I replied, "You are the only one I trust with this..."

He turned on the bar stool and leaned against the bar, looking at me curiously.

"It sounds serious," he replied, "What's up?"

"Coco...I want this asshole dead..." I replied before grabbing his coffee cup and taking a sip, "I really have no desire to save the man that killed my parents and attempted to rape me. I'm all for second chances but this asshole doesn't deserve one."

"I'm with you on that," Coco replied, "What did you have in mind?"

"I'm the first one to admit that I'm not a killer," I stated with a grimace, "Hell, I'm a nurse. I help heal people...but this guy, this sick son of a bitch...I want to kill him. I know it won't make things better, but at least the world will have one less pervert in it."

"What do you need me to do?" Coco asked. He was never one to turn down a good kill.

"Instead of using the medicine to treat the infection...I was thinking of injecting him with something lethal," I suggested, "Of course we would make sure to get the answers we are looking for before I treat him...or should I say, kill him."

"I never thought I would hear Sophia Loza talk about how she wants to kill someone," Coco stated with a quiet snicker, "I want to help you, Soph, but first, tell me...why me? EZ and Angel would bend over backwards for you, so why come to me?"

"If I asked them to kill him for me, they wouldn't hesitate," I answered as I put my hand on top of his, "but you Coco, you understand why I have to be the one to do it. They would never let me do it."

"That answer is good enough for me," Coco said with a smile, "Ok, give me a couple hours to get what we need. I'll be back as soon as I can."

Coco gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and then put out his cigarette before hurrying out of the clubhouse, just barely avoiding EZ and Angel on the way out. They turned and watched as Coco disappeared and then made their way towards me.

My stomach somersaulted as the Reyes brothers approached me, but the feeling quickly disappeared when I saw the dejected look on EZ's face. As he approached me, I couldn't help but give him a quick once over. His blue jeans hung perfectly on his hips and his white t-shirt underneath his leather kutte clung perfectly to his chest.

"Can we talk?" EZ asked as he approached me, showing me his vulnerable side.

Just as I nodded my head, Angel's cell phone rang. He looked down at the call display and then looked back over at us.

"I gotta take this. You two go ahead and do what you do."

He walked out of the clubhouse, leaving EZ and I in an awkward silence. I looked down at my hands, not knowing what to expect.

"I'm sorry I left last night," EZ said quietly as he reached down for my hands, "I know I said our relationship was enough for me and then not five minutes later I walked out on you. I felt awful all night and I'm sure it didn't make you feel any better."

"I'm not going to say it didn't confuse me more..." I replied, looking down at our hands intertwined together, "But it's not fair to you...me holding you at arms length because a part of me is still holding out hope."

"I meant what I said last night, Soph," he whispered into my ear, "This, between you and me, it is enough. I want you."

His breath against my skin sent shivers up and down my back. I knew what the best response to this situation was, but I was never one to follow the rules. EZ was the only one on my mind in that moment. I smiled up at him before he captured my lips with his sending my heart into a frenzy. Placing my hand on his cheek I kissed him back with passion.

"Ummm...there are people present," Angel said when he came back in a few minutes later, "Get a room you two."

I pulled away from EZ and looked over at Angel with a smile on my face. The smile fell from my face when I saw the distant look of disappointment in his eyes. I tried to ignore the fact that Angel could possibly feel jealous of EZ. Putting a hand on EZ's chest, I smiled at him and gave him one more kiss on the lips.

"Sorry," EZ replied, "Sort of forgot where I was for a moment..."

"Mmmhmmm...sure you did," Angel said with a laugh, "Soph, where was Coco off to in such a hurry?"

"I have no idea," I replied, letting the lie roll easily off my shoulders, "He just said he had something to do before we roll out. I got no more information than that."

I grabbed Coco's coffee cup and went behind the bar to wash it and put it away. I could feel the guys watching me closely and I was afraid that they might suspect something. If they did, though, they never let on that they did. I grabbed three coffee cups and poured the three of us a hot cup of coffee. I handed them their coffees and we all drank in silence.

"Do you need to go back to the apartment before we go?" Angel asked after a moment.

"I wouldn't mind a shower and some fresh clothes," I replied, "Do we have time?"

"We have a couple hours," Angel replied, "I don't mind taking you."

"You know what? I appreciate that Angel," I said, resting my hand on his forearm, my mind drifting back to the night before, "but I would really like to be alone for a little bit. I'm ok to go by myself."

"Fuck no," EZ and Angel both said at the same time.

"We have no idea who is waiting out there..." EZ exclaimed, "one of that guy's lackies might be hiding out there in the shadows just waiting to snatch you up."

"EZ's right, Sophia," Angel replied quietly, "Either, one of us can take you or you can get cleaned up here, but you aren't going alone."

I sighed heavily and crossed my arms in front of my chest. I understood their reasoning for not wanting me to go anywhere alone, but I hated the fact that I never got any time to myself. I couldn't wait until this whole thing was over so I could go back to the way things were. The first thing I would do was move out of Angel's damn apartment. I needed to distance myself from him more than I realized.

"Fine, Angel," I mumbled as I grabbed my bag from the floor and after kissing EZ one last time, made my way to the door, "let's go, we're wasting time."
