A Week Later
Sophia's Point of View
I was sitting on the couch watching an episode of Friends when my phone began buzzing on my lap. When I saw that it was Angel calling, my heart sank slightly. I still couldn't bring myself to talk to him. I knew I wanted him back, but there was still something holding me back. I pushed the "decline" button and threw it on the couch beside me. It had officially been a month since we broke up and aside from the moments at the clubhouse when we had to see each other or talk to each other, we were never together.
"Sophia," Hank said a couple minutes later as he walked into the living room from the kitchen, "You need to take this."
He handed me his cell phone and I looked down to see who it was. Angel, of course. I looked my uncle in the eyes and shook my head.
"I don't want to talk to him," I mumbled, "I can't..."
"Sophia..." Hank said, "Trust me on this...Angel needs your help."
I sighed heavily as I took the phone from him.
"Hey..." I said into the phone.
"Hey, I know you don't want to talk to me," Angel replied quietly, "but I wouldn't have called if it wasn't serious. Adelita was shot...we need your help."
"Shit..." I mumbled, "What happened?"
"It was a wrong place, wrong time situation," Angel replied, "After she escaped the mercs were ordered to kill her on sight if they find her. I'm assuming that was Potter's idea. We're at the safe house and Adelita is safe for now."
"Does dad know where it is?" I ask, feeling the adrenaline begin to travel through my body.
"I already sent him the coordinates just in case you agreed," he replied.
"Of course I'll help her, Angel," I said quietly, "How bad is it? What are you doing to take care of her right now?"
"It's on the left side near the stomach," Angel replied, "I'm not sure how bad it is but we have been keeping pressure on the wound. We have someone here who has dabbled in nursing, but they can only do so much. I figured, you being pre-med and all...you might know more or you could bring Laura with you. It happened about fifteen minutes ago and I called as soon as I could."
"It's going to be ok, Angel," I replied, "I'll give Laura a call and I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Sounds good," Angel replied, "I'll see you guys soon."
"Dad!" I called as I threw my phone in my back pack, "Can you text Laura and give her the coordinates and tell her to get there as soon as possible. We have to go! I need to stop at the clubhouse and grab some medical supplies I have stashed in EZ's trailer."
Hank walked out of the kitchen with a spare helmet in his hand and a small smile spread across his face. I raised an eyebrow in curiosity and just shook my head. Sometimes that man knew me better than I knew myself.

Sophia's Point of View
Once Hank came to a stop a short while later I wasted no time jumping off the back of the bike. Laura had just gotten there as well. Angel came running out from the side of a shabby looking split level house. Shingles were missing on the roof, the siding was cracked and weather worn and the light green paint was peeling. The lawn was brown and all the flowers lining the driveway were dead. All in all, it was typical for a safe house just on the outskirts of Santo Padre.
Laura and I both ran towards Angel.
"I'm glad you guys are here," Angel said frantically, "Adelita's in the living room."
