I wake up in a small room, or at least I thought so, because as I stretched my legs out, I touched the other side of the wall. And I was 5'8. The room was completely dark, and eerie, causing my every movement to make my heart jump out of my chest. Not to mention the silence. There wasn't a thing I could hear. I start to think that maybe they made me deaf or something, but the thought is washed away when I hear my arm hit floor tiles.

I lay there for five minutes or so, too weak to move, until the whole room surges in light, blinding me for a second.

When my eyes adjust to the area, I realize I'm a closet.

Yeah.

It was more like a pantry, really.

I get up, and before I open the door, it opens for me, and I'm face to face with my mom.

"Hi Mom." I say, walking out of the pantry, and she shakes her head.

"When will you ever learn?!" She snaps, and I back up.

Mom never snapped. Or got mad. She would simply keep her cool, and ground us. She says she doesn't need stress lines.

But when I looked her in the eyes, I saw rage, and I apologize immediately.

"You're useless!" She yells, and outstretches her arm, whisking her palm to my cheek.

My face burns, and I feel tears coming out of my eyes.

"Weak." She whispers, and I run out, scared. How could she have done that?

Sprinting upstairs, I hear familiar chanting.

"1,2,3,4
I declare a time war!
5,6,7,8
Daleks yell EXTERMINATE!
9,10,11,12
The Doctor died and Silence fell!
12,11,10,9
There he goes, back in time!
8,7,6,5
Saving everybody's lives!
4,3,2,1
Grab her hand and whisper RUN!"

I follow the source of sound, and see myself standing in front of Autumn's room.

When I walk inside, I see her tossing a ball, laying down on the ground.

"Autie?" I ask, and she turns to face me.

"Yeah." She says plainly, continuing to throw her ball.

"I had a terrible dream. London gave us-" I'm interrupted by rapid vibrating, and grasp my phone.

"Hello?" I ask, without checking the caller ID.

"Alona, listen to me."

It was "The Doctor".

"Yeah?" I ask, knowing this was some joke or something.

"Listen." He whispers, and I raise an eyebrow.

"Uh huh." I respond, paying half attention, but something in this guys voice was extremely familiar, like I trusted him.

"Why wont you just give them what they want?" He says, almost pleading.

"Um, excuse me?"

"Listen." He repeats.

"I am.." I say, unsure.

"Listen!" He yells, and I back away, scared of the voice I'm speaking to. Who was this? And who wants something I have? What is the something?

"I am!" I yell back, his voice crumbling me. How am I feeling like this? I tell myself to hang up, but I can't force myself to do it. I just can't.

"Please!" He howls, although I don't think he's yelling at me anymore. Someone else is there.

"Doctor!" I scream as the line goes dead.

I crumble to my knees, my eyes wide, and I slowly drop my phone from my hand, tremling.

Someone is there.

Why did I think that?

That's when I realize that the case wasn't true for The Doctor.

It was true for me.

I turn slowly, and see Autumn, tears steaming down her face, tied to a chair.

And next to her, The Doctor.

"Autumn! Doctor!" I yell, and get a sudden chill down my spine.

"They can't see you. Only you can see them."

I turn sharply to face a woman, an evil smirk on her face. Her hair was a dark black, completely straight, and she had a black veil covering her face. She was wearing a long black skirt, and white short sleeve dress shirt.

"Yeah?" I spit out, as she keeps her smile.

"Oh yes. Your phone is ringing by the way." She says simply, and with the gentle lift of her finger, the phone floats up, and lands in my hand.

I give her a disgusted look, and answer the call.

"Wonderful timing." I snarl, and hear a cough from the other side.

"Listen." I hear, and instantly recognize the voice.

"London?" I ask, and I hear another cough.

"Yeah. Big problem. So I said there would be defaults, right? The Nightmare organization. They're one of them. Also, strange, strange things will happen, and I have just this to tell you. Listen, don't speak. Join, don't trust."

"What?" I ask, and the line goes dead after she says one thing to me.

"Tell Elvira I said hi."

I turn to look at the woman with the dark viel, and shake my head, putting my phone in my pocket.

"Elvira, huh? Mistress of The Dark. Makes sence. Your parents must have had a lucky guess naming you."

She sighs. "You should know that names have power."

I shake my head, and turn to look at Autumn's tear stained face, then at The Doctor's worried expression.

"So what am I supposed to do?" I ask her, my arms crossed. "Just sit down, eat some popcorn while watching them slowly burn or something? Is that your purpose?"

She smirks, and oh God do I want to strangle her. "If only it was that easy for you. No, sadly," She says, and snaps her finger, a small stool with a suitcase laying atop of it appearing next to her. "we don't do the dirty work."

I slowly walk to the case, and open the latches, noticing there isn't a key to it.

When I open it, I shake my head, praying what I thought wasn't really going to happen.

Laying in the center of the case, was something I never liked in the first place.

A gun.
