Chapter 28

It was a full moon, and with the energy so unsettled around him, Yuan Zong wondered how his changing will take place.

Usually changing only took a few minutes, he was young, hungry and robust and whilst it hurt him, he had mastered the pain. 

As a lone alpha werewolf, and as a Lycan,Yuan Zong couldn't change, unless it was the full moon.

Yuan Zong had chosen to live alone with his grandparents and sister, wanting to look after them and protect them. Only his grandparents knew his secret, Yuan Zong not wishing to tell his immature and fragile sister about his true identity.

Yuan Zong's mother had rebelliously fallen in love with an alpha male. She was married women and their love was forbidden to her.

To his father, she was forbidden, as a pack leader, it wasn't right for him to be in love with a human, without choosing an omega from his pack. Yet, their love persisted and they couldn't help meet each other secretly, restlessly making love in the depths of the forest where Yuan Zong's mother would eventually give birth to him. Her husband knew he wasn't his son, but he silently accepted Yuan Zong into his arms. Yet his wife's betrayal broke his heart and he set out to murder the man who he thought she consummated with.

In anger and wrath, he ended up killing the wrong werewolf, the pack leader's son. Anguished the pack leader admitted to his sins. The pack rushed to the house where Yuan Zong's mother and stepfather lived, entering and killing both of them on the third day after Yuan Zong's sister was born, a few days after his third birthday. They spared them two according to their leaders will.

Luckily for Yuan Zong and his sister, their grandparents took them and fled, since the brother of the wolf that Yuan Zong's father had killed had stormed his father's dwellings killing him, making himself pack leader and then rushed to find him and murder him too, his only threat to being heir.

That's how Yuan Zong was born. He grew up with his grandparents who tried explain to him that he was different from other children, but he didn't quite understand until he turned 12 and had his first changing.

He never wished to join a pack, a strong hate towards his father's pack still lay inside him. Instead he tried build his physical strength, so that if he was ever to meet the wolf that killed his family, he would rip his limbs apart with his teeth.

This month, the energy around him seemed odd, more intense than usual. He assumed it was to do with his new found love obsession.

Xia Yao.

Maybe being sexually active triggered something in him which is making everything else seem so odd?

There was a reason why Yuan Zong slept alone on one side of the house. His first changings were very frightening and his loud howls would shake his little sister, making her think she was having nightmares.

He took out his cupboard the heavy chains and dragged them downstairs into his garage. He attached them to ground, where he had specially dug and fastened the hoop low, so he wouldn't be able to pull it out. He couldn't attach it to the wall, he'd bring the house collapsing down at his slightest tug.

It was still morning, and Yuan Zong went to school. He would only start changing after 7pm, when it started getting dark.

But the whole day he felt unsettled and uncomfortable. He saw Xia Yao in the morning, his arm linked with a girl as they walked down the corridor and into class. The girl was laughing and chatting noisily to Xia Yao, they were obviously very close, which made Yuan Zong's already hot blood, boil up even more. 

Was Xia Yao such a slut that all their activities didn't affect him or make him feel anything towards him?

He angrily clenched his fists. Xia Yao was seeing him as a one night stand, a hot, drunken morning affair, and was now running around with a girl!
