Seokjin was sitting on his bed, watching the video of Jungkook's graduation. A small tear escaped his eye. He wiped it away and sniffed slightly. He was so proud of his Kookie. Seokjin pressed the pause icon on his device and gazed at Kookie. He was so handsome, smiling up and holding his diploma in his hands. His hair had grown out again. Seokjin decided that he liked it like this, slightly longer. He imagined himself running his hands through those locks. He smiled shyly at his silliness.
He heard a soft knock on his door and he quickly closed the screen and asked Kookie to enter.
"Hyung, I hope I'm not disturbing," Jungkook began, watching Jin on the bed.
"Not at all Kookie. Come in. Come sit with me." He patted the place next to him on the bed.
Jungkook smiled happily and sat down. He gazed at his beautiful hyung, wanting nothing more than to lean in and taste those plump lips of his. He caught himself quickly, internally scolding himself once again.
"I'm so proud of you Kookie. You've come so far in such a short space of time. When I saw you up there today, I felt like a proud father. Gosh! I'm being so silly," he wiped his eyes that had started to tear again.
Jungkook leaned in and gently stroked his hyung's cheek. Their eyes locked and he felt like fireworks were erupting in his stomach. His breath hitched. His gaze shifted to his hyung's soft lips. He was just about to lean in closer when Jin hyung's phone went off. The spell was broken and Jin caught himself from doing something he would have probably regretted later.
Jungkook looked down embarrassed and Jin excused himself to take the call.
"Yes father. Today? No. It's not a problem. I will see you at home. Please give mother my regards."
The call ended and Jungkook looked at his hyung in confusion.
"Hyungie, I've never heard you speak about your parents before. Do they live here?"
Seokjin sat back down next to Jungkook, sighing heavily.
"Kookie, there's something I haven't told you about." He inhaled a long breath. "I-I'm a son of a chaebol. My father, my family, are extremely rich and powerful."
"But hyungie. If you're so rich, why do you work? Why do you run the agency?" Jungkook was confused.
"My parents and I don't actually see eye to eye. I'm not like my family Kookie. I like to work. I like having normal friends. And living on my own. But sometimes, like today, I get reminded that all this is just a fantasy. My father has summoned me to our mansion. And I have to go no matter what."
"It's okay hyungie. At least you have family. And I'm sure they must love you. You should respect their wishes and go. I'll be fine here. I'm going to the studio later today anyway. I miss the guys."
Seokjin looked at his Kookie, adoringly. "You sure you'll be okay without me?"
"Jin hyung, I'm not a baby. I'll be fine. Promise." He smiled happily at his hyung.
