THE SOUND OF CHILDISH laughters and giggles filled the room. Their home was small, simple and plain, but as the blonde woman continued to tickle her daughter's belly, the little girl's delighted squeals was the only music needed to brightened the whole place.
"Mommy!" The blonde girl let out between giggles, her body squirming and failing to escape her mother's merciless fingers. "Stop!"
"Only if you promise to be a good girl to Mr. Prince."
She nodded eagerly. "I promise! I'll be a good girl to Mr. Prince!"
Her mother smiled warmly. She let out a giggle of herself as she watched her daughter picked up the small toy from the ground and then hugged it tightly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Prince, I won't bite you again."
Mr. Prince was a tiny doll of a man wearing colorful suit, complete with a bucket of flowers on his hands and a red bread under his nose. When she first got it, her mother had recommended names like Ginger or Buddy which were silly according to the seven years old. With his charming appearance and that flowers, he was obviously a gentleman that deserved to be named after the number of princes she currently had obsession about. She added the title mister just so it sounded cooler.
"Mommy," the big, green eyes shone with excitement as she turned back towards her mother, her small feet running to climb into the woman's lap. "Today is Prince Naveen's turn!"
The blonde woman shook her head and chuckled, but she reached for the worn out book anyway which her daughter quickly snatched and opened with her tiny hands. "I thought you hated that prince because he was a frog," she said, hands reaching to brush those golden curls identical to hers.
"I still can't believe Tiana kissed a frog!" The little girl exclaimed incredulously, as if she had seen the animals in real life and found them extremely revolting. "But Prince Naveen's so handsome, isn't he?"
"Don't let your father hear you," her mother flicked her little nose before resuming to caress her silky long hair, "he's not ready for his little girl to start talking about boys."
But her daughter had already started to read the Princess and the Frog out loud, and she wouldn't focus on anything else other than the fairytale book and it's magical, fantasy world.
Kendra Marlowe could only smile and nod everytime her daughter looked up at her to make sure that she was paying attention. They had read every story in the book multiple times but the little girl would pause and gasp dramatically as if she didn't already memorize every single word.
Half way through the story, Kendra glanced at the clock on the wall and bit her lip. "Grace?"
"Naveen tells Ray he loves Tiana and is willing to give up his dreams for her..."
