Beep...beeep...beeeeep...beeeeeeep...

Alex reached over and slammed off the alarm. He then rolled over and, with his eyes still closed, found my lips and kissed me.

"More sleep."

"I hate Mondays. Let's just skip."

"You are a bad influence, but I need an academic scholarship for school. Skipping is not a good idea."

"5 more minutes then."

I let him pull me closer, and I sighed as he snuggled me. 5 more minutes couldn't hurt. I made sure to stay awake, then nudged him, so we could get up. He moaned and groaned, but we got up for school. I went to my room to get dressed, and met him downstairs. He was standing at the counter, sipping a cup of coffee.

"Hi, handsome."

"Hey gorgeous. Want some coffee?"

"No. I'll have some juice. I'm gonna make toast. Want some?"

"Sure."

We sat and ate. Both of us, clearly tired from last night.

"How are you feeling this morning? Was I too rough on you?"

"Not at all...and I feel wonderful. Last night was fun."

"I'm so glad. How about a quickie before school?"

I giggled.

"We don't have time. Save it for later horndog."

"Horndog? You'll pay for that."

He grabbed me and started tickling me. I giggled uncontrollably and managed to squirm from his grasp. He chased me into the living room, but we both stopped short as our Mother came through the front door.

"Hi guys! I missed you so much!"

We both gave her a big hug.

"Why are you two still here?"

"We're leaving now Mom."

"Real quick before you go...don't make plans for tonight. Come home after school."

"Why?"

"I have big news, but we'll talk about that later."

"I have practice after school. Friday is our first game."

"Oh, right. After your practice then. Layna...I expect you home after school then."

"Well, I was gonna go watch Alex's practice."

"Why?"

"He invited me."

"So..you two are getting along again?"

"Yes."

"Good. Get to school. I'll see you both tonight."

She grabbed her bag and went upstairs. I didn't realize that Alex was hiding the stain on the couch from last night. After she was gone, he flipped the couch cushion over to hide it.

"Hopefully, she won't flip the cushion."

"We'll have to cross our fingers. No sex in the living room again."

"Agreed. Let's get to school."

That day, I wondered what big news our mother had. We discussed it at lunch. I was afraid we might be moving or something. Alex told me not to worry. Before practice, I met Alex by the football field.

"You sure you want to stay?"

"Yes. I wanna see my man in action."

"I love you baby. I better go."
