3rd person pov, duel arena

Pyrrha was getting ready for Sparring match against team CRDL led by the faunus hater and bully Cardin Winchester and no he's not related to Sam and Dean Winchester from Supernatural. Y/n was sitting next to his apprentice Blake along with her team and other students in the stands. Blake was seemed out of it maybe it had to do with the white fang a few days ago. Y/n knew she had something on her mind and wanted to ask he about it just as Pyrrha walked into the arenas team CRDL started their assault against her.

"This aught to be good a one-sided fight in Pyrrha favors." Y/n said to himself as he watched her mop the floor with team CRDL which had no chance against her in the first place even through this was still a sparring match.

The match ended with all of team CRDL on the ground as the lights that were dimmed became bright again as Glynda approaches from behind of Cardin clutching his ribs before hitting the floor.

And that's the match." Glynda said as Cardin said that was a lucky shot before he collapses.

"Well done Ms. Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament." She said.

"Thank you Professor." Pyrrha said with a smile.

"Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match." Goodwitch said as she looked at the observing students.

"Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna?" She said as she called Blakes name as she slams her book shut and stare wide eye at Glynda.

"You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you- "

"Mercury, is it? Very well, Let's find you an opponent." Glynda said as he wanted to fight Pyrrha which made her a little surprised that he wanted to fight her of all people.

"I'm afraid Ms. Nikos had just finished the match. I recommend you choose another partner." She said.

"No, it's fine! I'd be happy to oblige." Pyrrha said.

Y/n pov

Something was up I just know it. This Mercury guy must have another motive in mind to be challenging her. I watched him strut into the arena visibly sizing up Pyrrha. Something I would have done myself but lets see how this plays out. Their spar begins with him making the first move and is knocked down. Recovering quickly, he deflects an attack and begins trading blows with Pyrrha until she knocks him back with her shield.

"Hey, your friend is doing pretty good." I heard Ruby say to a girl that was sitting right behind her as she just rolled her eyes.

I had to admit he was good and had some skill I give him that much. I kept watching as Mercury unleashes a series of powerful strikes as Pyrrha allows his kick to slam against her forearm before Mercury manages to disarm, a kick impaling her blade into the ground. I felt a trimmer in the force, and I knew she had used her semblance to redirect the direction of Mercury's next kicked.

"Not bad Pyrrha." I said to myself as I keep watching as she charges him with her shield, he shoots off of it and turns his back to her as Pyrrha tries to rush him again.

Mercury's Pov

"I forfeit." I said causing Pyrrha to almost stumble as she stops besides me.

"You... don't even want to try?" Pyrrha asked me as I said what was the point. She was a world-renowned fighter and that were leagues apart.

"In that case... Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match...again." I heard Ms. Goodwitch say. The aura display for Pyrrha and me are shown as it showed my aura change from green to red indicating my loss.
