'WRONG NUMBER'

chapter fourteen

she then hands me her phone. as i look at the picture my eyes widen. on her phone was a picture of me and daniel hugging at the airport. a fan must have taken the picture. you couldn't see my face, but you could see daniels. the caption was who is daniel's new girl???

"oh shit." i say.

"this is bad." paige says.

"i know." i say in a worried voice.

i grab my phone and call daniel. he answers quickly.

"hey." he says all happy.

"we have a problem." i say to him.

"what?" he says now concerned and worried.

"a picture of us hugging at the airport got leaked." i say nervously.

"what!" he says angrily, and he is shocked.

i put daniel on speaker and set it down on the couch.

"paige dm daniel the picture." i ask her.

she dm's it to daniel.

"well the good thing is that you can't see you. i don't need crazy fans coming at you." daniel says in a more relieved voice.

"yeah. i guess for now i'll just be your mystery girl." i say.

"yeah." he says, and i can tell there in a slight smile on his face.

"okay, i have to i just thought that was important." i say to him.

"okay bye." he says.

"bye." i say.

i end the call and me and paige go back to watching the movie.

the movie had finished and we cleaned up the basement and then went back to our rooms. i then edited the part of the vlog that i had filmed in target. i hadn't looked at the time since i had started editing but it was 1:47am. i shut my macbook, plugged my phone in.

i then brushed my teeth and did my skincare routine. i then got in bed and went under the covers. shortly later i fell asleep.

the next morning

the next morning i had woken up around 10:30am which is pretty late for me. i had walked downstairs and went to the pantry. i grabbed a random cereal box and then poured it into the bowl. i then grabbed the milk and poured that in. i grabbed a spoon and walked over into the breakfast bar and ate my breakfast there.

i cleaned my bowl once i was done and then went back in my room. i finished all of the editing for the vlog and then sent it to gemma to see if she liked it. she gave me a thumbs up to upload it on to our channel. after i had uploaded it on youtube i did a slide up thing on me and gemma's insta story. by the time i was done with that it was a lot later in the day, it was around 2:00pm. i went back down and ate a late lunch.

i then decided that i was gonna go to the gym because i hadn't been there in a little while. i went up to my room and changed into workout clothes. i got in my car and drove to the gym since it wasn't close. i was at the gym for about an hour and a half before i went back home. i jumped in the shower and then ate dinner.

a week later

i was the hanging out with gemma and i was going through comments on my latest insta post. one of the comments was a why don't we fan account asking if i was the mystery girl who was with daniel at the airport. there were a couple more comments that i had seen.

just the fact that this was still being talked about amazed me, mainly because the picture had been leaked over a week ago. i then went to my dm's which i don't look at much because last time i did my phone crashed, but i decided to look at them anyway.

most of the ones that showed up right away were all from why don't we fan accounts all asking things along the lines of:

are you and daniel seavey dating

were you the girl with daniel at the airport

are you the mystery girl

i didn't open any of them because i didn't want it to say that i had seen it because that would cause drama if they were to see that i had seen it. i then just turned my phone off because i was done with it.

why can't they let people live their lives. if me and daniel are together why does it matter. gemma could see that i was annoyed and she had asked me. early i was seeing a lot of my fan accounts had seen these comments which made them flip out too, and i was seeing a lot of things from their accounts too.

it was all a little overwhelming so turned my phone off fully and shoved it into my pocket. disconnecting myself from the world.
