The next day

I made a quick stop to my locker before heading to lunch and I felt someone behind me.

"Hi Tyler." I said closing my locker

"What's up Elle; look, me and some of my friends are going to the mall after school today. And if you want I can give you a ride to mine and we can leave from there."

Why is he so cute. 

"Uhhh- I- y-yea-"

"You don't have to if you don't want to."

"No, I just lost my words for a sec but no yeah I'd love to go. Who else is coming?"

"Dylan, Grayson, Anderson, and Bryce." He named 

Those were all seniors.

"I would've thought Rachael or Semiya would've come too?" I said 

"They said maybe so yeah."

"Alrighty then."

"You should sit with me for a chance." He said entering the cafeteria

"Sure." I said 

I sat with him and his friends and my friends look at me across the room and mouthed 'I see you' I rolled my eyes and smiled. 

"So Eleanor, you coming with us after school?" Bryce asked

"Yeah."

"Cool." 

Then another girl came and sat with us. I didn't know her from a can of paint but she just seemed to be vibin. 

"Hey Kaylee." Dylan said

"Who are you?" She asked looking at me

"Eleanor."

"Oh, hi." She said kinda rude

"Hi." I said giving her the same the same energy back 

She just looked me and continued to talk to other boys around us. I continued talking to everybody except for Kaylee, and before I knew it, it was time for us to go to our next class.

After school

I was walking with Tyler and the other boys to his car so that we could go to the mall. As we walked to the car everyone started running to it. I was so confused but since you know, when you see black people running, you run too. Everyone hopped in the car taking up all the seats. 

"Wooow, y'all are bold." I said crossing my arms

"Just sit on someone's lap." Dylan said

I sighed and shook my head. I sat on Grayson's and stayed like that for the rest of the way. We arrived to a house and we got out. 

"Your crib is nice." I said 

"Thanks." Tyler said rapping his arm around me

We walked in and everyone headed to the couch. As I sat down in a love sack similar to Jahseh's- Shit! I forgot to call him yesterday, I should do that. 

"Aye guys I'm gonna step out for a sec I gotta call somebody." I announced walking to the door 

"Alright." They each said differently

I stepped outside and dialed Jah's number.

J: You forgot to call me yesterday, I knew you'd leave me 

E: I didn't leave you, my friend was over and I was talking with her since I didn't all summer

J: Whatever, what are you doing right now
