A movie that a really like, one that many like too, however I'm not really sure why.
When a tiny princess is found in a glowing bamboo sprout, her parents relocate to a mansion in the city where the young girl begins her princess training. After having rejected every possible suitor in the village, the princess accidentally wishes to be sent back to the moon.

As aforementioned, I loved this movie. The only problem is, I don't know why.
Maybe it's the beautiful animation. It's something new and very pretty. Almost like a moving water colour painting.

Maybe it's the underlying message that you never know what life will throw at you in the future. That life's spontaneity is both beautiful and exciting, yet scary and upsetting.

Anyway, instead of dwelling as to why I like it so much, there a few other components of the movie I would like to address.
Sutemaru and Princess Kaguya, or how he likes to call her, 'Lil Bamboo', is an adorable ship that was short lived. I was just frustrated at how the two never actually got a proper reunion. And that dream was so enraging after finding out it was all in Sutemaru's head. Also, he was actually willing to leave his wife AND kid alone on earth to be with his childhood crush. Don't get me wrong, l would've loved it for them to end up together, but, you can't abandon you're wife and child like that without warning. It was just weird.

Also the emperor was really creepy. The whole thing about 'no one disobeys the emperor' is simply wrong. Adding on to that, he ORDERED her to live with him. So...um... feel free to piece the puzzle together for yourself. Luckily, or unfortunately for her, she wished to 'get out of this place' or something along those lines. This so called wish ended up with massive consequences. Costing the princess to leave all her loved ones and memories back on earth to go back to the moon.

Well, I really thought this chapter would be shorter, however I am satisfied with the length as I wrote more down than I though I would.
All I really have to say left is to watch the movie.
