The first official Studio Ghibli Film to ever be produced, and thank goodness for that.
Sheeta is the princess of the mythical floating city of Laputa. She meets Pazu while gracefully falling from the sky because of her magical crystal necklac. Pazu is young miner boy and together they go off on an action packed adventure to find the flying castle. Along their search, they face off against the military being controlled by the main antagonist Muska who is after her crystal on order to take over Laputa.

Keeping in mind that this is the studio's first movie produced, it really is a masterpiece. It is an entertaining, funny fantasy adventure perfect for the entire family. The characters are fun and original as well as the busy story line.

Along with its perfectly hand animated landscapes, the flying machines are pretty cool too. I'm not much of a plane or machinery lover, however the steampunk style of the castle, planes and robots are awesome.

As mentioned earlier, I love the characters. Sheeta and Pazu are of course fun and likeable, for they are the main characters. They are relatable and quirky, yet determined and brave. Even the family of air pirates, who are portrayed as their enemies at the beginning of the movie, become their close friends. I feel they could even be considered the duo's family on top of that.

Sheeta and Pazu are also a great ship. I am a firm believer that if a Studio Ghibli movie has a good ship it is miles better than any that has a bad one or no ship at all. The pair are just really cute and mutually meant for each other.

I minor and personal issue I have with the film, Pazu in the English dub sounds like a goose. Along with that the actor that voiced him in the English dub doesn't really fit into his age group. This made Pazu sound older than he looked which was a little odd. Despite this, I got used to it but I still instantly noticed it.
Aside from that, can we talk about how cute little Sheeta is. Oh my goodness. She is adorable. Look at those pigtails. Why is no one talking about how cute she is. Ahhhh she's too cute. Too cute.

Other than that, there isn't much to say. It's a great movie, so good I can't really explain it by simply typing it up on a Wattpad story.
