Starting at a new school is scary for any teenage boy, yeah it may not seem like it, they might act cool and collected, but underneath all that bravado is a someone who is scared to death about doing something wrong. I'm Michael Clifford, 17, junior, and maybe a little too obsessed with bands. Ever since my parents forced us to move to a new school district I've been feeling scared and nervous to start at this intimidating high school. But what I didn't know was that more would be waiting for me than just homework behind those doors into hell. Something out of the blue, something I didn't expect. And I guess what I'm about to tell you, is the start of that something. It all started on the first day of school. September 5th.
September 5th
"Mikey! Get up for school you're going to be late!" I groaned when I heard my mom yelling at me. I rolled over in bed, my heart dropping like a stone in my stomach

"I don't want to go mom." I groaned. My mom made her way into my room.

"Michael Clifford, if you don't get your ass up right now, you will miss the bus." She yelled, I grabbed one of my Green Day shirts and slipped it on.

"Mom I don't want to go." I repeated.

"Well that's not your choice now is it," the familiar sound of an engine revving up sounded off in the distance, "god damn it Michael you missed the bus."

"Don't worry mom, I'll just drive myself to school." I said slipping into a pair of black skinny jeans. My mom rolled her eyes and left my room, thankfully. I checked my outfit in the mirror, doing different poses. Damn I was hot I chucked laughing at how ridiculous I was. I made my way downstairs and grabbed my keys off the table.
"Bye mom see you later." I kissed her on the cheek. I got into my car and drove to Bradford High, parking in the parking lot. I soon made my way into the school, my eyes widening at the vast amount of people that were inside. Jocks, populars, potheads, nerds, emos, it was like in those movies where you have the high school with every single stereotype.

"Move it, loser." A kid wearing a varsity football jacket pushed me aside.

"Wow, aren't you cool, picking on the new kid." I muttered sarcastically under my breath. Unfortunately with my luck, the stuck up jock heard me, he grabbed the collar of my shirt and lifted me up shoving me up against a locker. Now a crowd had formed, swarming around us.

"What did you just say?"

"Nothing, nothing at all. Just that it's funny how someone cool and popular like you would pick on someone new like me." I smirked, the kid growled and raised his fist. He sent his fist at me, and I moved my head just enough that his hand hit hard against the locker. He yelled in pain, wow he was really trying to punch my face in.

"Percy Gordon, report to the principal's office immediately!" A teacher had approached the seen out of the corner of my eye and walked towards us. Percy growled, letting go of me.

"I'll get you next time newbie, just you wait and see." He spat in my face, I patted my clothes off when he finally got his dirty hands off of me.

"Have fun in the principal's Percy." I smiled and waved at him sarcastically. The crowd started to disperse and I went over to my locker, getting ready for class. I looked back at the shifting crowd and a pair of ice blue eyes caught me in their sights. The eyes belonged to a quite handsome guy, broad shouldered, long lanky limbs, and a lip ring that made me swoon. His gaze left me as quickly as it had met me, and the boy disappeared into the crowded hallways.

I walked through the halls to my first class which was music. Best case scenario, considering music was my favorite subject. Hopefully it wasn't like one of those corny music clubs that would make me want to choke. I walked into the classroom and sit next to some Asian kid. The Asian kid looks at me with a confused look before introducing himself.

"Hi, I'm Calum, I believe I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" He asked

"Yeah, I'm Michael, nice to meet you. So is this music class fun, like do we actually do cool stuff?" I asked him as the teacher walked into the classroom.

"Yeah, I love music class..." His voice and eyes wandered over to the teacher, looking him up and down like he was eye candy. I almost laughed, but I thought it was cute, Calum having a crush in the teacher, and I had to agree that he was pretty hot.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Irwin, and I'll be your music teacher this year. I know you all think that music isn't important for school and life, but I will teach you that music is a very important part of life, and something you will need in the future." Mr. Irwin's hazel eyes looked at each of the students in the class.

"God, he's so hot." I heard Calum whisper to himself, wow he sure was whipped for this guy. After Mr. Irwin went over all of the basic pre class procedures and rules we were dismissed.

"Hey, Calum, what do you have next?" I asked him. Calum started packing up his bag, "I have math, but I think I'm going to stay after a little while, I can always get a pass from Mr. Irwin..." He glanced over as Mr. Irwin bent down to pick something up.

"Wow, you're head over heels man, have fun." I smiled and give him a wink. Calum smiled back, and I exited the classroom, walking to my locker to get my supplies for my next class which evidently was math. All of a sudden, a heavy force pushed me against the locker, and I heard Percy's familiar voice behind me.

"Hey newbie, ready to get pummeled?" He whispered, his hot breath against my ear. I chuckled deciding to play it cool.

"Why are you so obsessed with me? I didn't know you were gay, we'll let give you a pointer. I don't bottom." I said slyly. Percy threw me to the ground, and in a moment I felt the impact of his foot on my stomach.

"Get away from me you gay freak, and consider that a warning." He said before walking away. I sputtered effortlessly trying to catch my breath. I could barely breathe because I was so winded, and the edges around my eyes started to get hazy. As I started to fade more and more quickly, I saw a pair of blue eyes, the piercing gaze so strong into my own eyes, soon everything went black.
