"Tell me you don't want my kiss, that you need your distance."
Dani's POV
What did he mean? The words kept replaying in my head. It took me a few seconds before I realized he was still standing in front of me.Carefully, I asked him, "do what, Harry?
His eyes narrowed, "are you seriously asking me that, Dani, really?" he scoffed.
I was taken aback by his cruel comment. Sure, I noticed his mood change change when we were in the car, but I didn't think it was my fault.
"Harry I have no idea what you're talking about," I spit, equally as harsh.
He ignored me as he stepped closer, closing off the space between us.
Our chests collided, and I felt his heart beating rapidly, as I'm sure he could feel mine.
"So," he began, tilting his head downward to have a clearer sight of me, "you're telling me you legitimately have no idea what I'm trying to imply right now?" he hissed.
"Yes," I answered simply.
He looked away in frustration before looking down at me again. The way he looked at me made my knees go weak, the way he angrily brushed his long tousled curls over his head made me think about how I would-
My thoughts were interrupted when I felt a cold set of lips on mine. I responded almost immediately, the feeling of pleasure undeniable. I found myself wrapping my arms around his neck. This is too good to be true, I thought to myself.
He placed both of his hands on my waist, rubbing circles on my sides, soothingly, in a protective way, I assumed.
Harry stopped kissing me and began to place light sloppy kisses along my jaw, down to my neck. I screwed my eyes shut as my mouth parted open slightly, enjoying the moment way too much. The way his lips felt on my skin couldn't be described, it's better than words.
As he was about to kiss along my collarbone, we both jumped when we heard a sudden knock from my hotel door.
"Dani? Have you fallen asleep?"
Liam.
"Dipshit," Harry mumbled.
My eyes widened as I jerked away from Harry's grip. I noticed his slight frown, and couldn't help but want to kiss it away, until we hear the knock again.
"Coming Liam, give me a minute!"
"Quick," I whispered, "go in the bathroom!"
He simply nodded and stepped into the bathroom, closing the door.
I fixed my hair and straightened my shirt before reaching over to open the door.
A tired Liam in his pajama's appeared, holding a Sephora bag in his hand.
"Hey D, uhh, I know it's late but I think this is yours? It must've gotten mixed up when we took our bags out of the car," he said handing the bag over to me.
"Yep, that's mine," I said looking into the bag. He quickly nodded and grinned at me.
"Thanks L," I smiled.
"No problem.. Good night. Again," he chuckled.
"Night," I said before closing the door.
As I close the door, I saw that Harry had ready been sitting on the edge of my bed.
"That was close," he mumbled before and up again to lean in and kiss me.
This time, I pushed my hands against his chest, stopping him.
"Harry, we can't," I whispered.
He stepped back, obviously surprised by my words, as if no one had ever rejected him before. The embarrassment was evident on his face.
"You're right. I don't know why I did that- why I kissed you. Forget it happened. Sorry," he said before shoving past me to leave the room.
As he opened the door, I knew I couldn't just let him walk out like that.
"Har-"
The door shut. Leaving me alone and confused. What the hell was that?
