Lord, it was time. My soul was telling me to wake up; trying its best job but everything failed on something. My body was a different story, it would not even dare to wake up to this new day.
"Thea wake up!"
"Keep quiet," I whined at the forceful human being waking me up. This was crazy. I needed to sleep for at least five minutes and maybe I would be productive as the day will flip its pages.
"It's another week of summer vacation little sis." By few minutes. He was my twin brother, Theo. Sometimes, I wish I was the one who was born first.
He wasn't much of those good qualities when it came to knowing him. He was light skinned and he was the one who dominated my mom's genes on skin colour. I was more of my dad type but mixed. He had curly hair and brown eyes which could hazel sometimes. I was so jealous. We were both starting our senior year in fall.
I really knew his real intentions very well. He had bursted into my room with a happy face and a party horn blown out loud that I was scared. I thought that my ears will be no more when I wake up.
"Last time I checked on the calendar, you don't have a special activity for today apart from football practice." I said with a bored voice in me. He ruined my sleep. He really has few lives left.
"Don't be so dumb. You know what to day is?"
I knew this day would come but I never expected he would rub it on my face like that. That was why I always didn't tell Theo some of my plans. It hit me hard when I remembered few seconds ago.
"Its the day am going for summer camp."
"And..."
"Am planning to find my talent." This was torture. Thanks to my mom who I once told her to keep a secret about it but no. Theo found out about this in hours! He had been making fun of me since then.
"Congratulation sis!" He blew a party horn on my face.
"You. Are. A. Hypocrite." I hit him with a pillow word by word. I wish I would find another object to carry out this action.
"I know, what're you gonna do about it?"
"You are technically happy because you will have the house for yourself and you will have everything for you to enjoy yourself"
"And..."
"Stop making me to complete my sentences because..."
"You are making them even painful," I said it. I hated it when Theo made me finish his rubbish sentences and it was boring.
"Come on sis, you are going to have fun and here I will be enjoying." He said with his 'cheerful' voice. I always thought of removing his hair with hair remover. Was I bad?
"No you won't!" Dad's voice boomed into my little room as he entered the room with a cap on his head. I knew him very well that he had topped by my door to eavesdrop on my pre-killing session with my Theo.
"Meaning?" Theo asked cautiously. I felt like things would not go as planned for this summer.
"You are also going," he paused, "to the summer camp." He had just killed Theo with one stone. Amazing.
"WHAT?" Theo and I yelled.
I couldn't believe this, he was coming with me. I was trying to control my laugh but this was just a moment to laugh. "So dad, you're telling me that Theo,my other half is coming with me?" My life just got interesting.
"You heard him Thea, don't be too dramatic on this," he said after giving me a glare. I also mocked him with my tongue out. He just ignored me and turned to dad, "But dad, I had good grades this semester. You told me I could do anything."
