"I win again which is very odd," he paused. I didn't mind everything now. "Dude, what happened there? You seem off."

"Am okay, maybe my neck still hurts from yesterday," I told him. He narrowed his forest green eyes at me. "Don't study me!"

"Derek, what happened? Did any bad guy threaten you?" He asked, putting his controller down on the woollen carpet in my room. I wish someone would kidnap me for now. Guilty was killing me seeing her acting everything was fine. She wasn't fine.

She is fine.

"No. I have already told you that the couch isn't the perfect place to—"

"That's an excuse for the whole day huh? Grow some balls and tell me something. Is it about your girlfriend?"

"She's not my girlfriend. You already know about the rules there," I shoved him.

"Yeah, I thought so. You are a good boy. Too good," he patted on my head. I know I am a good boy because somehow, I manage to follow rules of certain things I treasure. I don't like being in trouble for stupid things that I would have avoided. "That's it! Tell me what's wrong right now!"

"Dude, don't make me choke. My neck." That was his way of forcing me to spill something. He knows me well. I started to cough before my eyes felt like popping out. "Fine! I'll tell you."

"That's what I wanted to hear," he let go of my neck. I caught my breath until I was okay. I feel sorry for those bad guys who have fought with him. I really needed to start keeping muscles. Body building can be my thing... No.

"I already told you about on the phone when I was at camp."

"Dude, you were serious?"

"100%. So you know my attempt to avoid liking her much," I paused. I had been trying to keep it simple by just being friends that was it. I didn't wanna argue with stupid opinions about that were said about such friendship. I just wanted to be friends. Nothing else. We both were cool with it till I started to cross the boundary sometimes. "Yeah, it never helped. So today, she told me how she feels and showed —"

"Yes, I also saw that and I am fucking proud of her. So what did you do?" he asked, walking towards my white book shelf with colour arranged cover books to get the hidden candy.

Everyone except Parker knew every corner of where I hid my sweet candy. The feeling of waking up in the morning and tasting something was a mutual thing. I had develop it a habit since I couldn't remember. It just brought a happy feeling. Some other parts where I hid were behind a drawer in my glass closet which was on my left and my bedside drawer.

He made his way to sit on my grey bed while I stood up to sit on a black futon. He really was into the story. He noticed my silence when he grasped. "No, did you reject her?" Asked Kelvin, throwing candies at me. The dramatic king had entered the chat.

"I told her I love her and she is a cool friend." Before understanding what I had just revealed, everything felt wrong. I should have thought of a proper answer to him than my stupid sister. Kelvin released a full amount of cussing words. He was the reason why I caused a lot.

"That's not okay! I can't believe this. For her, at least for her, you would have broke the rule! Christ!"

"I don't know what I was thinking man. I couldn't handle keeping secrets like this. And obviously, she already suspects me of a lot things. Being close would make it all worse," I explained to him.

"You're already close. Find a way to tell her your feelings before she falls apart," Kelvin pointed out.

"I don't know. I can't go to her right now and tell her I like her. The agency -"

"Fuck the agency first! Sir White won't mind that. The rule just protects your lover, and don't dare look at me with that eye. Just make sure she doesn't find out what really happened to her mom." As soon as Kelvin finished the door cracked open revealing the last person I don't wanna see.
